Can anyone help explain this RPI discrepancy?

Everyone else in the top 35 is within a couple of spots in the different rankings except these four.

So.....now I am a little more concerned about UGA. If they win tomorrow they are in and I suspect Mississippi is definitely out, but with us being 1 of last 5 in with LSU, UGA might also spoil it for us.

I hope Etheridge is just whistling in the wind.

it's reasonable to be concerned about whether we'll get a bid. That's not the same as hoping we don't. For the record, I think we're a lock to get a bid, but probably as a #3 seed.

This isn't basketball where you could justify 10 different teams filling 3 spots, every single one of them said the same thing: "who would they send instead of MSU?" Our RPI is 31 and we have one of the best records, believe it or not, over top ranked opponents in the country. The NCAA would really justify not sending us because we lost to the SEC West champion and a Top 5 opponent in the tournament? In the words of Johnnie Cochran on South Park, "IT. JUST. DOES NOT. MAKE. SENSE."
