Can Ashley Judd just not be a UK fan anymore?

***WARNING, there are slight political connotations in this thread about the most public Kentucky Wildcat fan, Ashley Judd.

She might quite literally be insane now and I for one don't want her associated with my beloved UK Wildcats program in any way shape or form. She is frankly, embarrassing.
Now, she's seeing racism and "white privilege" in...(wait for it)...emojis. Yup. In her own words she thinks yellow emojis are "code for whiteness" and she herself wants to be called a "non person of color".
Whatever Ashley, you're insane.

What she's saying is pretty silly, but it doesn't bother me or make me wish she wouldn't root for the Cats.

She's batshit crazy like Ted Nugent, but I'm sure some people think he's awesome because of how much of a right-winger he is.

I tend to not really give a damn about celebrity's political stances. They're just stupid opinions like the rest of us have.

I don't like her politics, or why Hollyweird celebs think we NEED to hear their opinion, but everyone in this country is allowed to give their opinion. ...even if it makes them appear like an idiot. Her saying things I don't agree with has no effect on how much I love Kentucky.

Why would anyone in their right mind read "chicks on the right"? I'm sure there's nothing slanted on that site. [roll]

I saw I reported somewhere else a couple days ago. So, does who runs the story make her comments a fake quote?

Please move this nonsense thread to the paddock . And no she is human being who can have opinions and while I agree with many I don't all of them but that is besides the point . She is human she has feelings and thoughts and has just as much right as anyone to express them .

Exactly.
I found it on that site first because I frequent that site. I like conservative chicks, so sue me.
But, if you'd rather not read about Judd's insanity there, you can do a web search with the keywords "Ashley Judd" and "emojis". You'll get several pages of results.

This is the dumbest and most inaccurate post I have seen in awhile....she can have her own opinions...I am sure you have some "other" opinions that are stupid but does that not qualify you as a UK fan? No. We all are different...and being a black guy the emojis thing has crossed my mind as well...BUT at the end of the day is an emoji so who really cares. I can almost sense you think "white privilege" is made up smdh.

Judd is supposedly UK's biggest celebrity fan.
Twice in the last couple of weeks she has taken to social media with some pretty insane stuff. First the Chick-Fil-A nonsense and now this.

The problem with Hollywood is they live the life of someone that typically has those benefits because they were intelligent. They roll at parties with Steve Jobs types and constitutional lawyer politicians, businessman etc.

Problem is, they aren't at that party because of human contributions and brains. They aren't there because they were brilliant inventors, smart businessmen, or philosophist. They are at the party because they were born with great genes and can read a play script.

Judd like most on her side is simply brainwashed to the point of no return. Not only about her ideology, but also in her position that real people give a rats *** what she thinks about anything other than acting and cinema . I don't ask a banker about driving Hazmat Tankers. I don't ask a baseball player the proper technique to properly remove a gallbladder.

She really should stick to acting and Kentucky basketball. How many times must she make an *** of herself before she realizes it.

So celebrities' opinions don't matter... but we should care what she thinks enough to hate her for it. Which is it? Can't be both. And by that logic, I assume Clint Eastwood and Chaci's opinions are equally easy to dismiss. Right?

The people who are most vehement about dismissing other people's politics... are by far the most concerned with other people's politics.

1. Emojis originated in Japan.
2. Emojis are yellow, not white.
3. Even if white privilege does exist (which I seriously doubt), I don't think Ashley Judd is the person to lecture anyone on that subject. Especially given that she lives in the most upscale neighborhood in Nashville.

2nd or 3rd rate actress that shows up to games and pretends to be 25. Looks silly which she obviously is.
Instead of non person of color why not just leave it at non person.

Sorry, but no. Politics is a freaking clown show. It doesn't get much of my attention.

Yet, you clicked on this thread knowing without a doubt that it would be nothing but politics, and even made a comment about a political outlet that you discredited based on their name. Nah, you don't like politics. I'm not gonna comment on it any further, but they were your words and now you're dodging. Again, I'm done, no hard feelings, and enjoy your night.

Why do you care so much what someone else thinks? Opposing views and the ability to voice them are some of the things that make this country great.

Where can I sign up for some of this white privilege.........I have had to work my butt off to get what I got.

Taken at face value, her comments aren't that outrageous.

She's noting that certain things in life are pre-set to "whiteness" and trying to imagine how her experience might be different if things were flipped around.

When I learned this concept in the second grade, it was introduced as walking a mile in someone else's moccasins.

I don't think her comments are particularly deep or insightful, but not anything to get in a twist about either.

Don't try. Arguing people who chose to find a color barrier is pointless. They will find it, there or not. Perfect example is the guy you just responded to.

We in the paddock yet?
