Can Kruk carry Baseball Tonight this year?

Baseball tonight used to be one of my all time favorite sports shows. I think Peter Gammonds has been the same age my entire life. I was also a fan of Harold Reynolds and Steve Phillips before they got themselves fired.

I'm a big fan of Kruk, but wondering if the show will be worth a **** with him, Karl Ravech, Dave Winfield, Aaron Boone, and JP Ricciardi anchoring (though the last 2 have yet to do studio work).

I'm ready for some 17'n baseball.

Not sure how often they will be on, or if they will be on together, but I enjoyed MLB Network's coverage last year, and adding Gammons can only make it better. Plus they have Bob Costas, who is probably the best baseball play-by-play man of this generation.

It used to be my favorite show too until they got rid of Harold Reynolds. It is absolutely horrible. MLB network has put bbt away forever in my book. I didn't watch it once last year. Do they still let Steve Berthuime host. That guy is the worst sports anchor of all time...OF ALL TIME! MLB Tonight on MLB network is as good or better than BBT was during it's best years.

they had everyone rotating on and off throughout the day, while probably giving a couple of people the day off. So, they will likely be on quite a bit.

I wouldn't be surprised if they get Kruk one day to, since they are poaching Baseball Tonight's best guys.

I also like Tim Kurkjian OK. He's no Gammons, but he's servicable.

And has contributed in absolutely ruining BBT. MLBN is about as good of baseball coverage as you can get

And it seems like Buster Olney is going to be the de facto replacement for Gammons, which is solid if not perfect.

He's not bad, but I just don't care for him.

If it comes down to money, I would guess the WWL could match any network salary-wise.

Peter Gammons loves baseball more than just about anything, and MLB Network is awesome if you're a baseball person.

Meanwhile his other choice is to hang out with a bunch of douchebags at ESPN.
