I can't imagine OM will put up with that. I know it's a 6 million dollar buyout, but come on, this is pathetic. As a fan base or a big donor, you have to put up the money to get rid of him.

I don't know what kind of revenues UM football brings in, but $10M, if that's the right number, seems like a crap ton of money. If I was an alum I would want to fire Boone first (for getting worked in Nutt's contract negotiation) and then see if there was an economic way to replace some assistants (although there probably isn't b/c you'd have to pay big money to get a promising assistant to jump on a sinking ship). I'd probably just accept that next year is a sunk cost. I'd put some of that money toward recruiting to try to stock some talent for the next coach in 2013.
