I got tired of spending a small fortune replacing ink cartridges, so I switched to a EPSON Eco Tank. A complete game changer, I've had my printer for over a year, and still have plenty of ink left. Well worth the money.
You can also print to PDF and save to an attached USB-C thumb drive (if your phone has a USB-C power/sync port). Many printers support printing PDFs from a thumb drive.
