Can Rutland play against State?

I saw it discussed about AJ not playing in the JSU game but I must have missed whether or not Trey Rutland will play. It would be nice to see him finally complete a pass at Scott Field.

speaks volumes about Croom's recruiting efforts. A backup at an SEC school should be hands down a starter at a swac school.

was that Croom wanted to play Tray over Omarr Conner until halftime of the Tulane game. I don't think Rutland ever led us on a scoring drive of any kind if I remember correctly. I remember seeing Rutland throw three passes, and I knew he wasn't going to be the answer-ever.

could have been around football playing and coaching for the number of years he was and yet still

a. seemingly placed so little value on the need to recruit a top flight QB and
b. be such a poor evaluator of the position both on the recruiting trail and among the roster guys vying for the position.

It truly is beyond ridiculous how some of the QBs that we signed under Croom actually got scholarships to play the position in the SEC.
