Every sports call in show, every comment section on sports websites, and virtually every fan of a team not in the SEC says the SEC is over-rated. Can people really be this homeriffic?

It's basically the same complaints every year. Seems like it's always 1) the SEC has a weak OOC schedule, 2) the SEC is top heavy and only has 1 or 2 really good teams, or 3) the SEC is overrated. Of course the ones doing the complaining don't want to play the SEC, they just want to complain about the SEC.

No other way to explain the MS teams beating everyone else. Has to be a down year...

I think the issue the rest of America has with the SEC is that at some point LSU, South Carolina, and Texas A&M have all been ranked in the top 10 without having to do much to get there. Honestly, Bama hasn't really looked like a top 10 team either.

Because the traditional powers in the SEC have lost a lot of talent to the NFL the past two seasons and don't look as formidable. The lower teams are more mature but lack the overall talent. So, it gives the perception of a mediocre conference.

They don't want to admit:
Big 10 is a joke.
Big XII? is good for a laugh.
Pack XII? is funny.
ACC is waiting for basketball.

This may have been true in 1999, but not this year. Both MSU and Ole Miss are going to have some high round NFL picks. And regarding us, we aren't squeaking by people, we are rolling muhfuckas off the field in stretchers. Ole Miss isn't exactly dominating the way we are, but they have the perception due to their alleged recruiting success. Then take into account the SEC's record vs. OOC opponents (has anyone lost except Mizzou and Vandy?) and people are straight talking out of their ***.

What other team around the country would you pick to beat MSU, Auburn or Ole Miss right now? FSU, Notre Dame? Baylor, Oregon? I wouldn't, if my own money depended on it.
