There's no coincidence that MSU and Mississippi have always paid their head coaches nearly identical salaries. Does our new ESPN money fall into a category that has college board oversight? I hope not. In our attempt to land a highly qualified head coach, I can't see the college board letting us pay him market value (1.5-2x what Nutt is getting).
