Once again, the Liberty Bowl officials are going to have to count on us (or Tennessee) to fill up their stadium. I believe "the rock" holds 39K and they have a hard time selling out their stadium even at home with a top 25 ranking. It would make more sense economically to match up the winner of Conference USA with the winner of the MAC or the WAC in a bowl game. That would be exciting for both teams involved. What SEC team would be excited about playing a conference USA team in a season ending game that the team has worked the entire year to be in? The entire season is spent trying to prove yourself worthy to be in a bowl and the Liberty Bowl just does not have a good enough draw. As much as I would hate to go to Birmingham, at least we would play another BCS conference school. Music City matches a BCS school.<div>

</div><div>As I write this, Southern Miss is struggling with a 2-8 UAB team in the second half. Yeah, the same UAB team that we beat up on earlier in the season. They might end up winning but either way Southern Miss is a long shot from being a team deserving to play an SEC opponentin a bowl game. The only SEC team that would not skull drag their defense is Ole Miss.</div><div>
</div><div>Edit to say: Don't get me started on putting Southern in the sugar bowl. It would be a sad day for football if the team I'm watching sneaks into a BCS game against Alabama.</div><div>
