Can we block unwanted threads here?

Can we block unwanted threads on here about other schools or players no longer here? I grow weary of all of the useless threads devoted to topics that serve no useful purpose other than to antagonize the good posters here.

I just went down the whole first page and might have seen 1 thread about another school/coach (guessing you're complaining about Arkansas/Cal). So it's not even that much, but you're going to see a lot of threads because of recruiting battles against them and with us playing them. So get used to it or do like most people and skip the few posts you don't care about.

Was this thread supposed to be more compelling and relevant than talking about actual basketball stuff?

I'm happy with Pope and definitely thought it was time to make a change away from Cal. That being said, I find it interesting what kind of roster he's able to put together at Arkansas. Because we're going after a lot of the same guys and we will be playing them later this year. Just like I think it's interesting where guys like Onyenso and Thiero end up. Also, Cal will always have a connection here to UK and will always be somewhat relevant around these parts. Doesn't mean we haven't "moved on". They guy was still the UK coach one month ago. It is still relevant content on this message board.

While I agree with you, I also agree with the OP. Coming to Rafters sometimes is like forgetting to unsubscribe from every spam email on earth and trying to read through your email inbox to find the important messages you need to look at.

I have never blocked anyone on this board except that weirdo that ran around posting gay and disgusting poop porn pics. I do just scroll by, but it does make for a less pleasant message board experience to have to rummage through topics.

It would be cool if you could right click a thread and hide it from yourself. Take care of duplicates and such

I have exactly one person blocked and I don’t think they even post anymore anyway
And sometimes it really IS frustrating trying to find something of substance
But we are going to talk about Calipari..there will be comparisons between his tenure, recruiting, coaching style, etc. and Coach Popes. It’s only human nature
There are going to be what we consider stupid threads. It happens
My biggest wish is that people wouldn’t get into these squabbles that tend to hijack threads, whether engaging fans of other teams, trolls or even our own fans.
At any rate, it IS easy enough to skip threads
