Considering our personnel, and where we are, and at this stage of the season, what would you do?
Please, if you are going to give a smart *** answer, please save it.
(I guess that might be asking too much for this group, so)

If I was the coach I would have a meeting with the offense and try to figure out what we could do differently. I would listen to them and try to adjust to what we could do. Our o-line can not block. We need to put the QB in the shotgun and use 4-5 wide WITH Delmon Robinson in the slot and we need to let Elliott do what he can with Dixon and Ducre less than 100%. Everything that we run should be quick passes and screens to try to mask our weaknesses.

and I was wrong on that 2-12. My anger had spilled out of my Old Forester and into my brain. 2-10 at best and Croom sails down with McCorvey.

I would not mind a 3-2 loss to the #9 team in the country under most circumstances. Hell, usually I would be damn giddy we had a defense that good. But I knew the other night no matter how many times AU fumbled we would not score on offense. The offense lost that game and the LaTech game..

So, the question is, will the offense get any better? Well, we all know nothing........NOTHING has changed or will change with Crxxm and his offense. Ranked over 100 offensively....what? 3,4 years? We almost ruin a good season last year vs OM with the inept offensive performance. THe Liberty Bowl was ugly, boring and not very encouraging. 1 damn TD vs a CUSA defense. Then you have spring and new hope that maybe something changes or gets better. But hell no, 0 to (17)ing 0. Ok, now we have the Dixon didn't play much excuse. Plausible....Then we come out vs LaTech running every damn trick play under the sun and can only muster 14 points. WE didn't have any long runs or plays (ok, one) vs a 1AA team. It is the same crap we have seen since September of 2004. You have to go back to the damn 1960s to find as many shutouts as we have had in the last 4 years. So, with what we have......as head coach.....nope.

I figured we'd be 2-3 after the LSU game. That would have been bad enough, but the way it's shaping up now, I have no idea where some of the other wins will come from, unless we get that good old pick-6 or punt return. And the sad part is, some of our future opponents do not look good. UT hasn't been impressive, UK damn near gave one away to MTSU (so looks like either of them could beat us), Arkansas is rebuilding, so if we had shown any signs of life on the offensive side of the ball, we'd at least be competitive against those teams. As it stands now, my preseason prediction of 7 wins seems kind of silly.

I would simplify the offense down as much as possible to be sure that we could run 10-15 plays perfectly. I would add in more option calls with Carroll. We still have to be primarily a running team with our personnel so I would elevate Addison Lawrence or Dakota Merritt to TE to give us another blocker. With Marcus Green out, our TE's aren't giving us anything anyway. On passing downs, I would go with 4 or 5 WR's and no TE's or FB's. I would go with a 50/50 run to pass mix on first downs to keep the defense guessing and go from there.
