Lead off single through the right side and then bunt advances him. Fly out to left for out two. Chopper to Kessler ends the top of 7.
Gei strikes out on a full count pitch that looked in tight. Gei hated it. Macciochi pinch hits and draws a full count walk.
That was a bad call, CBK3!! 37 took his bat back and didn’t offer at it.
I had posted last week that 14 could have a great season and have no dubs to show for it. Lack of run support or bad bullpen has not tempered his effort so far.
Shelby drives home the tying run with a deep fly misplayed by Canisius.

Shelby lifts one into right and the right fielder misplays it off of his glove and UK ties it. 2-2. That was an ugly play.
That scores a run either way, but it helped put runners at second and third with 1 out and a new pitcher for Canisius. Thompson now at least won't get the L after 11Ks.
Shelby was oddly running down the first base line there. Not sure if that's an injury or what, but he only reached to first.

Shelby got taken down and Ellington is pinch running and is at second now. Think Shelby is banged up. Shinn with a line drive single to left.
Bases loaded for Reed. Reed battling and he gets under one and pops out to right, but it plates Ellington. 4-2.

Gei gets a chance at redemption after not liking the strikeout call earlier in the inning. He walks on 4 straight.
They seem to come alive a bit more later in games. I did question their heart some with the big Sunday loss to Tech, but I think it is all just part of them growing up.
