Cannibals everywhere

The cannibalism continues in college football.

The American Athletic Conference, where schools scrambled for shelter when Big East football collapsed, will lose Cincinnnati, Central Florida and Houston to the Big 12 and UConn left previously.

So the AAC got Florida Atlantic, Charlotte, North Texas, UTSA, Rice and Alabama-Birmingham to officially request to join the AAC, which will disembowel Conference USA, where all those schools live at the moment.

Wonder who Conference USA will cannibalize to get members?

You are presenting this in a negative fashion when it is the opposite. Everyone wants to be promoted and move up and that is what is going on here. So, many "experts" will tell you they "know" the future of the college football landscape is 4 16-team conferences in a divisional playoff system and that is written no where. More than likely it will be 6 16-team conferences with 96 final teams in the mix. At some point in time, the remaining G5 conferences will merge their best 16 teams to form that 6th conference. You might note that the previous CFP set up was based on the top six conference champions, that was not a mistake.

The AAC has made a major mistake here because Aresco has no idea how to run expansion. He is inviting teams and sending press releases before getting these schools to sign on the dotted line. Worse, in my opinion, he is not taking the best schools open to him even with his clumsy style. But, regardless, this "cannibalism" as you call it is a good thing.

Lol...and what indy schools would you be talking about.
Well you have
Army
UCONN
UMASS
I see C-USA going after the App States , FIU, GA States and UMASS UCONN, Army

UMASS and UCONN great markets so is GA State. APP St actually is pretty well known and plays good football

Liberty is probably the best independent available today, and they seem to be putting resources into their athletic programs. Problem being, with the woke culture of today, with anti-religious bigotry prominent, nobody seems to want to bring them into a decent conference. Liberty would be an immediate contender in either the Sun Belt or C-USA, and probably hold their own in a watered down American.

What you really need is a full split, and place the G5s into their own division of football, and perhaps bring in some of the more prominent FCS teams that are on the cusp, teams like a James Madison, a Delaware, a North Dakota State, etc.

Believing in God, Jesus Christ is our Savior and he is the only way to life eternal in heaven? If you think that is the belief system of a cult, then pack your bags and leave the country. The USA was founded on those beliefs.

Liberty is a cult sorry it is and if you look further the founding fathers were not so big on the church thing hence separation of church and state does that ring a bell. They knew religion was what is wrong with the world and caused so many wars in Europe from the crusades to inquisition. So ends the lesson moron

You are a product of a poor education. The separation of church and state means that the government will not control the church. Like the way King Henry the Eighth started and controlled the Church of England, because the then powerful Pope would not condone his behavior.

You will be surprised to learn that the founders put in place the need to teach the Bible in schools, because of the laws and country were set up on Christian morals and values.

You should do a little more research before you go calling people names.

Look for CUSA to bring in Liberty, UCONN for football only, New Mexico State and UMass and stay at 12.

If Marshall was smart they would beg the MAC to take them back or join the Sun Belt.

Nobody in the sunbelt will leave for CUSA
You don't think I think the Marshall APP St rivalry could be a good one again. Plus schools that are remaining CUSA teams have some value

Old Dominion-just updated stadium and other facilities. Is located in Norfolk so a great market with great recruits

Marshall- even though they are not WVU everyone knows who they are and they match up with the APP States, Coastal Carolinas. Instant rivalries and you can throw in Western Kentucky with those schools

Mid Tenn St and So Miss- matches well with GA State, Ark St , GA Southern, Troy , GA Southern and FIU and the Louisiana school . Kind of like a mini SEC feel going on.

Pretty good regional rivalries, imagine that

If Marshall could take east carolina, coastal Carolina, liberty, western Kentucky, and another team into the MAC like possibly ODU with them, then that would be cool to see. CUSA is boring to watch and has no good natural rivalries for Marshall.

Read earlier on a sports site, Sun Belt is looking to take Southern Miss and Marshall. Southern Miss is pretty much a done deal, but Marshall is apparently dragging their feet, as they are somehow connected at the hip with Old Dominion and apparently JMU. Sounds as though the stupidity is running high down there. Sun Belt is a decent league, and has the chance to be the top G5 league at some point. Southern football is King, as most people know. C-USA is a stiff, and those teams staying are simply burying themselves an early grave.

Is herdnation having a meltdown? I would go look but I think I got permabanned by Perkins when he was in his crybaby meltdown phase last year due to people calling out Doc and others at the Shewey.

I don't know. I only post on the political forum (for the most part), and that's due to having several good friends that post there. You think WVU has a few divisions amongst the fans, there has to be at least a dozen over there. Perkins is out of his mind. Allen used to pick on him back in the day.

Issues with reading comprehension I see. No where is it written in law or in my post that I said the church is running the US government.

If they actually taugh civics in schools where people learn the bill of rights and the constitution, they would realize that their freedoms are being taken from them. It would also certainly mean they would be more selective on Election Day.

If they actually taught English where you were from but hey you are a fool so I get it . No go pray god boy. The Earth was not made in seven days, God did not write the bible and Jesus was not white so stop it. But this is about CUSA adding teams and I like the options they have.
