Tweet from Kyle Veazey:
@kyleveazey: Mississippi State, presumably with a straight face, announces a sellout crowd of 55,102 at Davis wade stadium (capacity 55,082)

Watched it on TV and it sure looked to me like about 35 to 40 thousand. I guess we kept our streak in tact! LOL

I'd guess about 40K, maybe a little over. It was a sellout I'm sure, but lots of folks stayed at home. Tailgating was about half normal too.

The place certainly wasn't packed. The only times I've seen it packed is when we play Alabama and Ole Miss.

I think that someone in the athletic department is cooking the books on ticket sales. I know that tickets for tonight's game were being sold by the ticket office for as low as $9.00. It would not surprise me if we are selling several hundred tickets each week to the Bulldog Club or to some rich alum, for a few dollars per ticket, just so we can claim that we had a sellout.

I was looking for blue in the stands. I thought it was a tossup students vs. UK fans. But after halftime, there were definitely more UK fans.

I think the students left with Dan's 2nd half gameplan.**

That right there is total BS

The students that were there were very vocal...Don't think they left at the half, and came alive in the third qtr.

I have it on pretty good authority that this happens almost every home game.

Not sure about nowadays but that was procedure in the past and they were donated to Palmer Home for Children, French Camp, Boy Scouts, etc etc.
