Well I wil say that GW scored really quickly on our drives so it seemed like OPRF offense was on the field all day. I actually give our defense significant kudos as they made 2-3 huge stops on 4th down and on a key two point conversion.
I know I sound like a broken record gushing over the QBs we have played but I honestly feel like Jeremy Hunt will be a big time college QB. That kid has a cannon. He has a stable of receivers especially 19 who looked 6'4-6'5" 220 and caught everything thrown his direction. I haven't seen the stats but it felt like he threw 60 passes and 56 of them were right on the money. Our DBs had huge games breaking up pass after pass, which is doing something when our DBs are all 5'8" to 5'10". We finally had to flip Goleash out of LB back to S to get some height against those receivers, which really helped slow them down. There was a KO return in there as well.
I really liked OPRF's offense but man alive they had a tough day on defense. Running back that replaced Ficarella put a 3 spot on them and I honestly think I could have put 2 bills on them with the holes our oline opened. GW offensive coordinator called all the right plays. Half of the passing TDs were on obvious running downs and the receivers still got behind the coverage by 4-5 steps. It was an absolute clinic as GW rolled up over 600 yards. Those poor OLB are so sick of having Big Cat Moorehead jacking them up.
I hope to see OPRF play Loy in the playoffs. I would set the O/U at 100. Honestly. GW will get healthier with our best LB coming back soon. I do not think you will see 39 points scored against GW again this year.
