he was always going to be treated like he got favorable treatment because his father was the pitching coach. As a Cardinal fan, I felt that way-that he was given preferential treatment by Larussa. This may have been unfair, but that was what I perceived. So really, the situation was never going to get better. I don't blame Dave Duncan for defending his son. I applaud him for that. But, the bottomline is he was looking at his son the ballplayer as a father, and not from a professional standpoint. The trade has been great for The Cardinals. And if Duncan (Chris) had something left, he would still be on Boston's roster (or minor league team), or someone else would have picked him up. Dave Duncan is most definitely gone, and Larussa won't be far behind. And this will put the nail in Pujols St. Louis coffin. He'll be gone when he has his first free agent opportunity. But life goes on. Just win it this year and let the chips fall where they may.
