How bad will this season be? Can we win 70 games? I don’t think so.
After last season, the front office basically said, “yeah, we’ve been terrible. All the changes we made to the organization have not worked. We’re going back to how we used to do things, but the transition is going to be rough for the next couple seasons.”
I was fine with that. At least they admitted what we could all see. But then…they didn’t change anything. The only change going into this year is not resigning Goldschmidt. Have I missed anything else?

Mozeliak is a 17'n idiot and Dewitt is too greedy to field a competitive team. This is Moron's last year, but it'll be 3 or 4 lean years until Bloom can cleanse the organization from all of the idiot's stupidity..

He was booed' vehemently during the opening day introductions last year. Be interesting to see if he is announced this year. I've never seen a GM booed during opening day ceremonies.

I think not doing anything was pretty much the point. I think they want a whole season with the lineup spots available for guys like Walker and Gorman.

I can see a world where the team overachieves. I still think Walker has potential to be a big time player. Winn, Donovan, contreras, and nootbaar have all shown flashes of being good players. Sonny Gray is a legit ace and Helsley is a legit closer.

With that said, I still think they will end up essentially being mid 70’s to 80 win team.

Not a Cardinals fan, but it's sad to see what's become of the 4th winningest franchise in MLB history.

They decided to blow it up and start over after years of reloading through free agency and the farm system. Unfortunately the morons in charge aren’t built for this.

Many Cardinals fans have lost interest in the team and it’s clear by the dismal attendance numbers at home last season.

I don’t know all the details but we should not have fired our last manager!!
He was a good one and has the Padres very competitive. Heck, we went on a 16-17 game win streak TO HELP GET US IN THE PLAYOFFS the year he got axed!!

I didn’t watch a single game all season. I was probably in the single digits last time that happened.

I opened this thread hoping for a lively discussion of all things Stanford. What a ripoff.

The only reason mozeliak has lasted this long is because he has to have some leverage on somebody regarding the hackgate scandal.
