Hoping for the best for Caleb but I’m not expecting to see Caleb vs Michigan. I’ve had ( and I’m sure many others have had) what Caleb experienced and it’s painful as hell. Actually the first time it occurred ironically for me was when I was 23 years old and it took me hours to somehow have enough strength / agility to crawl out of bed. For me, the pain goes away after several days but then again I’m not exerting the pressure on the back as Caleb does playing ball.
I also liked Jerry’s points on the newbies and converted football fans. Spot on !

““If you can’t get through a losing streak, you’re in the wrong league,” the coach said Sunday. “Every team in our league goes through it.”
All of us should let this sink in a bit.
It's part of the psychology of an unfortunately large segment of the RU fanbase--always expect the worst for Rutgers.Yup……and yet some wrote the season off on the first sign of sustained trouble
I’ve had similar many many times and deal with back issues almost daily today…the result of many years of playing basketball 2/3 times a week until almost 50. Everyone and every injury is different but when I had what appeared to be a similar injury to his, it was about 3 days almost like clockwork, and then back to normal. Back issues suck and can drain the life out of you. Then a pickle ball injuryExcellent article and analysis as always by Jerry Carino !

That’s the big thing. This happens to you or I and we don’t have a PT team and team doctors working on us. Hopefully he can be ready by Thursday. We need everyone down the stretch.I’ve had similar many many times and deal with back issues almost daily today…the result of many years of playing basketball 2/3 times a week until almost 50. Then a pickle ball injuryhad me on my back for nearly 6 weeks… My back issues are structural however, herniated l4, l5, etc while his might be muscular. Hoping for the best here. He’s in good hands.
I honestly don't recall a "large segment" doing so..just a few who unfortunately grabbed the headlines with some cray a$$ thread starters. It's part of the psychology of an unfortunately large segment of the RU fanbase--always expect the worst for Rutgers.
Maybe more on the football board.I honestly don't recall a "large segment" doing so..just a few who unfortunately grabbed the headlines with some cray a$$ thread starters.

Come on … a pickle ball injury?I’ve had similar many many times and deal with back issues almost daily today…the result of many years of playing basketball 2/3 times a week until almost 50. I think there is truth to what you initially posted. We can be a “wait for the other shoe to drop” fan base. I know I’m guilty of that at times. I just don’t share it here for the world to see. What good would that do anyway?Maybe more on the football board.
I kid you not..do not twist abruptly with herniated disks. I was really diggin’ that sport tooCome on … a pickle ball injury?
Mr Magoo comparing his pickeball back injury to what a top college athlete like McConnell is experiencing. Can’t even make this stuff up!I’ve had similar many many times and deal with back issues almost daily today…the result of many years of playing basketball 2/3 times a week until almost 50. For guys, pickle ball is a pillow fight. I like the sport because it is very social (gals can complete with guys if they have a shred of athletic ability). Excellent players are dinking the ball 90% of the time. Not a lot of injuries. Corn hole probably has more casualties.I kid you not..do not twist abruptly with herniated disks. I was really diggin’ that sport too…but then again, you would know. You are mr twister
