While I don't think Carl Pelini was a good person at NU because of his behavior on and off the field, I think what happened here is completely uncalled for by the player's dad and the player. Sounds like the player and his dad are repugnant thugs.

Yikes. Sounds like a 🚁 parent from hell.

"The report says that Pelini exchanged words with the football player over concerns about a fight on the field during the game.

The report states that the football player's father "barged through the doors and asked who had been giving [his son] a hard time.""

See, this is why I always had a 24 hour rule.

After a game, the parent were not allowed to call me, email me or punch me, until 24 hours had passed...that way they had time to hopefully cool down.

What about the hot (recently-divorced) mom, when you started her 130 lb freshman at fullback because her folks were in town and she wanted to make a good impression?

Did you have a 24 hr rule then???

Bo will be moderating a reconciliation meeting between all parties (and the police) in the basement of the local upscale hotel in Youngstown (if they have one).

It is Youngstown, Ohio. Exactly what is expected from there. Carl is right at home.

Everyone acknowledges that the Pelinis were a terrible fit for Nebraska but getting past the 8/9 win BS in a period with Callahan's recruits followed by a luckily weak period in the Big 10 (playing in the weak division as well) warped perceptions. Bottom line is no top Div 1 teams wanted Bo when he was available.

I love this...we all have played the "What if I was rich...what would I do?"

No one ever goes "I would keep working a super high stress job while trying to keep 19 year old kids happy and a fan base happy"

We ALL say "I would do whatever the **** I wanted but I would not work anymore"

But I guess Bo is supposed to want to keep working.

Imagine being able to retire at what, 45?

Bo isn’t as rich as you think but if he was very conservative with his lifestyle he can probably afford to retire.

DIdn't LSU pay him 2 million alone???
What did he take home? He has an agent and taxes. $800k?

Great money. Not enough to retire on.

People that make great money $500k+ need way more money to retire than a middle class person. Especially if they want to retire early. Who wants to live frugally when you are 48? When you can work and make amazing money and live an amazing lifestyle? And continue to live an amazing lifestyle when you eventually retire with $8-12 million in the bank. Not $3-4 million.

I get the feeling that people that don't have money have no idea how much 3-4 million dollars is.
