If Carroo plays, Flood and McDaniels need to find a way to get both of these guys on the field for Ohio state.

I don't believe Agudosi saw the field vs.Indiana, or at least was targeted until Carroo got injured (could be wrong). Agudosi didn't see the field vs. Mich State but we've seen what he can do in the Penn State game and late in the Indiana game when his number was called.

6 TD's in 1.75 games for Carroo - OSU will figure this out. Find a way to get this kid on the field!

Agree. Carroo can be a major weapon as a decoy even. They are going to pay a lot of attention to him which should open up the field for the other guys. We need our TEs to have a big day against OSU to have a chance.

This all assumes some level of real health for Carroo. That underthrow TD was dreadful in that he had him open. A few more yards and he doesn't even get tackled.

It's not as simple as just putting him in for Patton. He's practiced all year as the X receiver. He knows those plays and he knows those routes. He would have to study and learn the playbook again to play the other receiver position.

Patton is a pretty solid receiver as well but I'd agree that Agodusi is more of a playmaker.

I'm no football expert when it comes to X's and O's but they should be able to find a way to get him on the field vs. OSU. We've had offensive players switch to defense within 1-2 weeks and play so I don't see why they can't get Agudosi on the field.

Who should he replace? That's the 1000000 dollar question. It's very easy to say he should get on the field but at whose expense? Patton? Grant?

He doesn't necessarily need to replace anyone. They could add in a few plays that involve the both of them.

Thanks for the insight vk. I had no idea.

My point is that Agudosi doesn't need to replace one of the other receivers for plays a, b and c. They could simply create new plays that feature Carroo and Agudosi that feature their strengths, similar to what we used to do for the Wildcat.

If Carroo plays, Flood and McDaniels need to find a way to get both of these guys on the field for Ohio state.

What a novel idea. Play your best. Flood seems incapable in this regard. He has a highly accurate QB but won't spread the field for him. adding a WR slot and dropping a back or TE.

So the main problem in getting both of these guys on the field is that Flood insists we are a running team. And he has so many running plays in there were the QB turns his back on the LOS before dropping back to a point to hand off.. deep in the backfield.

Oh.. and we mix things up there by having the QB sometimes NOT hand off.. so he gets to turn around and then look to see where his WRs went...

INSANITY REIGNS.

Co-OC Flood in charge of the run game had that "system" in place in 2009 and 2010. In 2009 only Doug Marone of an undermanned Syracuse team figured out he could just blitz every down. They crushed us.. and we didn't adjust a bit at the half. And the following year EVERYONE watched the Syracuse tape and they all crushed us.. save Syracuse where Schiano decided to mix thing sup on offense. Flood did not survive another year as co-OC.

All Flood's touches to the play-book needs to be purged.

Then, maybe, we can find reasons to play both these guys in a spread offense on 1st down.

OSU has lock-down CBs. 2 WRs ain't gonna cut it. And we'll need to do more than run it into a pile on our side of the LOS.

They should definitely be working on plays where they are both on the field for critical situations and redzone.

Caroo mentioned last week that they learned all the receiver positions and he could play slot to get Agudosi on the field.
