LC was trying to stop it/protect mom or girl friend. When are women going to accept consequences for their actions. She did the right thing by not pressing charges.

Maybe if you paired Caroo with some effort to spread the offense.. be deceptive and try Rettig for a series in the first quarter... do all that and maybe you can get the crowd excited. Add in calling plays a bit faster.. get a good rhythm going.

It will be interesting if MSU had a gameplan for Carroo and if they practiced it at all. Or are they right now scrambling to instill coverage packages. Because if they decide to keep one on one coverage against him..... Remember that second person who would double team Carroo is out and they are going with their second string safety on Saturday.

He can't possibly still be a captain. RU should at least get that right.
This statement caught my eye, and wondered why not? Listen, heaven knows that I hate what has transpired over the past couple of months at my beloved Rutgers, but what did this kid actually do? He has been exonerated by our legal system, after finding that he in fact did not physically do any harm to any of the participants. Yes, he was there, he came to the aid of a friend, he tried to break up the fight, his mother was present(and yes she was accused), but that is a reasonable response given the circumstances. How many of us would have had that sort of composure?
So, the statement "He can't possibly still be a captain." is confusing.

Just have a gut feeling that Carroo coming back to the team provides the crowd / the team with an emotional "X" factor that can't be measured.

RU wins....by more than a TD: 34 - 24.

I'll have some of whatever you're smoking.

Just spoke to some of the guys from the team,* and they really appreciate how one of their supposed fans referred to a .500 September as a "Lost Season."

(*note: no, I didn't really speak to some of the guys from the team.)

If Rettig was QB I would swear it was a real possibility.

He was also suspended earlier in the season...............
The first suspension was for violating curfew. And the second suspension was after being arrested for something he may very well be innocent of. Not to mention he was reinstated shortly after matters were cleared up. A senior leader of the offense who came back to play for Ru when he could've left for the NFL after last season, losing his captain-ship for that? Really??

When you consider the arrests, home invasion, assaults, combined with the allegedly Carroo incident… And then couple that with Floods inept attempt at trying to assist the player what would you call it?

I hate to say this but Rettig won't be the quarterback unless he develops a nuclear fungal infection on his feet or hands.... or something more severe.

In October? I wouldn't call it anything.

I certainly wouldn't call it a "Lost Season," and I definitely would point out how ridiculous it was to anyone who did. Don't be such a drama king.

Also, "Carew?" I thought there was consensus on the fact that the accepted misspelling of "Carroo" was "Caroo."

[Edit: I'm going to presume that this was a "voice-to-text" error on a mobile device, since "the arrests" came out as "the rests," and the the fact that you spelled it correctly in your original post, even if it's wrong in the subject line.]

I'd call it a bunch of kids kicked off the team, an exonerated (by the victim, if not the court) Carroo, and a coach going too far to support a player. I would not, unless I wanted to be overly dramatic for some reason, call it a lost season.

Hell, being 2-2 and nearly 3-1 is not so bad when you consider everything that's happened so far this season.

If we could stretch the field just a little bit our running game can really impress. I hope we can hit two to three passes each quarter for 20+ yards forcing a couple of LB's to fall back into passing lanes. Then go to the running game. I'm looking forward to this game. I saw the line at 13 not such a big endorsement for a team that's ranked #4 in the country. Go RU!!

Good guess.

I was waiting for my finance tonight...in an industrial complex in Irvine.

Regardless, I tend to use voice to text on "SMART PHONES". I hate typing, unless on my beloved computer.

Caroo played and Flood coached against Washington State and we lost.

Not only do we not win by a TD we dont win, we dont even cover. Peoeple ave already forgotten how inept we are on both sides of the ball.

Flood's last gasp maybe this weekend.

If Zappaa is right (I think he is / well connected) there is a lot of talk amongst the big $$ donors. A blowout loss this weekend and OSU, Wisky, Indy, Nebraska, Michigan seem probable.

A "W" and ALL that could change. It's really a shame that Flood can't take a page from a coach in his own league (and division) / learn to play 2 QB's PRN (As needed). If Laviano gets hurt and Rettig shows signs of opening up the O , Flood will have NO ONE to blame for his firing (not even the Ginger or the Professor).
