Our alumni group receives a lot of casting call emails and I normally don't respond but I wanted to share this one:

Hi,

In the past we've reached out to you regarding southern casting calls. This time we have a casting call that is completely different, but would love for you to share it with your family and friends. Please see below:

Hello,

My name is Gloria Dios, and I'm a Casting Producer working on an exciting new mini- pilot showcasing a British family's first trip to the United States. A major international network is looking for a fun, adventurous, all- American family to show our British neighbors the ropes.

We are searching for large outgoing families who aren't afraid to get down and dirty. Whether you hunt, fish, camp, bike, or anything in between- we want to hear from you! The ideal family will have teenage children and be willing to open up their home, and show the British family the time of their lives. This is an all expense paid opportunity to show off your hometown, family and friends, and what makes America so great.

We are particularly interested in families located in the south. We are only casting for a limited time, so please get in touch ASAP to find out more.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Best,
Gloria

Why didn't they just say hell raising rednecks in a double wide raising juvenile delinquents?

My first thought was "Almost Royal" that airs on BBC America. And yes, no doubt they are looking for some toothless hillbilly to make fun of.

Absolutely. My uncle would be perfect, but he wouldn't do it because he thinks Europeans are the devil.

Tell them to try Ole Miss, MS for a host family. They have a whole bunch of redneck folks up there...and it would be funny to see how their idea of "royalty" meshes with the Brits' ideas of the same.

Sounds like the reverse of CMT's My Big Redneck Vacation. The family from Shreveport went to England one season. They were really disappointed to find out they couldn't get any Bud Light. I admit I have seen a few episodes. It was pretty funny hosted by Tom Arnold.
