Minus Eric Moulds, Kevin Prentiss and maybe a few others which I can't remember at the moment, what's it going to take for MSU WR's to CATCH THE DAMN BALL in a big SEC game, when it really counts and when we need it?

Bumphis, Berry, hell even Green had major drop issues last night. Now I know, all will improve and will catch many a pass as the season progresses, but <17>!!! why do they look like Jerry Rice one weekend and look like Justin Jenkins (with no contact lenses) the next weekend?

We'll see many other teams in many other games this weekend, who will be driving down the field late in a game and they will needs their WR's to catch a critical pass or touchdown and they WILL be successful (hell even teams like Western Michigan or even Jacksonville St.) Dear WR's: CATCH THE MOTHER<17>ing BALL!!!!!!!!!!

I know, I know...we are M-state and blame the damn indian burial mound.

I don't know. I'm impressed with how well our receivers block, and they were open some. Hud can't catch the ball for them. They had no drops in the Memphis game that I recall except 1 by Uno. </p>

Auburn's WR controled our DB, we could learn from them. Our blocking has room for improvement and the other thing is Bumphis and Heavens are small, we need some big WR, those high passes would be caught.

If you can't receive, you aren't a good wide receiver. And blocking DB's isn't exactly the hardest part of offense.

The no drops in the Memphis game was probably due to no defenders being around. In the SEC, you've gotta catch them when you have guys right on top of you.

how this ball wasn't caught. I'll tune into ESPN Top 10 again this Sunday and there will be more than one spectacular 1 handed grab but Berry can't make this gimme on a potentially game winning drive. We are MState.

There is absolutely room for improvement, but as much as we want to run the ball, it is very important for our wr's to be able to block. Really my point was that, I don't blame HUD for the receivers not catching the ball when it hit sthem in the hands.

Do you not pay attention? How do you think guys bust such big runs on the outside......WR blocking. In the NFL WR won't play if they can't/won't block. Why was Dyer getting such big off tackle runs.....he wasn't getting touched until 5 yards or more down field.

We weren't exactly busting the big runs last night. Only 6 for 10+ yards. Bottom line is the WRs played like crap last night. Yes, blocking is important, but my point is that if you can't catch the balls that hit you in the hands or chest, you aren't being a good WR.

Why do you think a lot of big runs don't get busted, especially ones that make it past the LOS but don't get much further?
