It's been the Kuashaun Forest show all year for GW Danville. This past Friday he had 20 carries for 232 yards. Yes he did this against a struggling Bassett team but still very impressive to do in 3 quarters. It was his 5th straight 200 yard game. Season stats: 182 carries, 1,809 yards, 21 touchdowns. Kuashaun needs 482 yards to catch Virginia Tech great David Wilson's single season rushing record, a record that I never thought that would be broken anytime soon. David did this in 12 games in 2008, but it looks like Forest will break this in 10. Yikes! Forest was last clocked at 4.37 in the 40. His 4x1 team beat my favorite player in 4a East Tye Freeland and Dinwiddie in the 4a state track championships this past spring and set the fastest time in school history (also breaking a David Wilson team record). Great athlete but even better person. I think I speak for the people of Danville when I say that we're very very very proud of this young man.

Lots to be proud of there... Is he a Sr this year? I assume with those sorts of numbers on the field and on the track he is getting looks from schools. Where do you think he will play next year?

Yessir he's a senior but I'm not sure how many looks for football he has. He's 5'10 on a good day and maybe 175 soak and dry. I think he could play major college football but as a corner or on special teams. He was behind two college running backs the past two years but injuries hurt Forest's playing time a lot. He's been in the weight room this past offseason and started eating lol! If I'm him and I'm not getting any offers, then I'm going JUCO for a couple years He'll get some looks. He's just an amazing athlete, a lot like Tye Freeland from Dinwiddie. Can't teach that kind of speed. I definitely think he could play in the ACC and at least a quality FCS program like Liberty or JMU.

Yeah sometimes these recruiters penalize these kids for being 2 inches to short of 15lbs to light. When you have a dynamic athlete like that you can find something to do with them. I feel like that about Deandre williams. I can't believe major and mid-tiers aren't jumping on him. I hope Forest gets a chance to play ball on the next level!

Yeah Deandre could definitely play some major ball for someone. He's probably the best back I've seen this year outside of Forest. I was more impressed with Williams than I was with the 6'3 kid from Bird. I get to see Jerry Page from Amherst this weekend so I'm sure he'll go into that category too. He's probably in the top 5 conversation of being the best back in 4a, Page that is. I think Williams and Forest is too.

Yeah I don't think Deandre is a college running back per say.. but you can't tell me he wouldn't be a good Strong Safety at the college level! 6ft 205... If he was 6'2 they'd be all over him... Its kinda silly to me.. looking forward to your opinion on Amherst

I'm looking forward to watching Amherst. I have a lot of respect for them boys. I grew up watching some battles they had with my GW Danville boys. Always been a class act program. I agree 100% on Williams too. If I was UR, I'd be all over him!
