I hate this because of tradition, but I don't think going to green is any guarantee for MC with Larry going to the semi finals the last 2 years and Fenwick was one blown call from being in the state finals last season. I will just miss playing Rita, Rice and LA the next for 2 years, I'm sure they will play one of them in crossover

I just heard about this and just gonna say what almost everyone else thinks:

This is an f---en disgrace the Mt. Carmel is not in the Blue.

Just go 2 divisions already, put MC back in the blue, bring Iggy and DPP into the green. St.Joe should be metro and Leo and Hope in a CPS conference with specialty charters or military theme schools (i.e. Carver, Bronzeville, Phoenix).

if MC does not draw SR BR in a cross over , hopefully they can open week 1 with them.

If the Green crosses over with the Blue twice then hopefully they can schedule 1 of the other Blue teams week 1 or 2. That would keep 3 Blue teams on their schedule. With 4 games against the Green and those 3 games they could be a little more outgoing with scheduling another big team in non conference instead of Taft or whatever CPS school they normally play at Soldier Field week 1. Not saying they will, but it would be nice to see them play a tougher non conference schedule those 2 seasons.

This guarantees MC 8-1 / 9-0 for two seasons then a high 7A seed and a cakewalk to the semis in 7A.

Montini needs to schedule a softer OOC schedule and then can make a run in 6A regardless of their seeding..

Unless the numbers are really down at MC the green will not challenge them.

Seems like there are a few Montini haters or should I say that they are envious of Montini's success on the field on the edgy board. Either way, Montini will be solid this year with new coach Bukovsky in his first year. Coach Andriano has stated he will be around this year too helping the team. Looking forward to the Fenwick and BR games this year as they dominated Montini last year but we expect different results this year.

No Montini hate here. Living in the area near the school have always enjoyed their program. As far as beating BR or Fenwick..we will see.
Wasn't meant for you. But there are some who just don't like Montini for whatever reason. I don't know if Montini will win both of those games but I definitely like their chances with a lot of juniors on offense and defense who started last year and some very good sophs moving up to varsity.
