Can’t believe we are with Tenn, this committee has a lot of explaining to do. I know there’s a lot of sec teams but au/txam then us & Tenn sweet 16 possible matchups, and now OU a 9……wow.
We’ve beat Tennessee twice and neither time we were healthy. Get past the first two games and we’d have almost a week to prepare for them again. I’ll take it
Illinois was the 6 I wanted to avoid. Not thrilled with the draw but they were all going to be tough.
Playing Friday means one more day to rest up and heal up, a small thing but a good thing
No idea. Very good that ISU got the other 3 in Milwaukee instead of Wisconsin from a crowd perspective.
Got to get that first tournament win for Pope and put that narrative to rest
Kinda reminds me way back of when I think we had beaten LSU already THREE times in the regular season and conf tourney and they lined us up to play them for a fourth time and of course we lost

So did Tennessee. I like us going against "defensive" teams, I don't think anyone can really stop us from scoring besides ourselves. If it's a low scoring game it just takes one or two bursts to create some separation.
Illinois is a matchup nightmare for us. That is the one team that I wanted to avoid at all cost so it figures they would be right there. Sucks.

I've seen them play and don't see them as that great. They beat Arky earlier in the season, but they played like CRAP.
We matchup pretty good with them.
Complete failure if this team even with injuries don’t get to the sweet 16.

86 tournament. We had to beat Bama for a 4th time in the sweet 16 to face lsu for a 4th time in the elite 8...my most heartbreaking tournament loss, until '92. Both remain at the top of the list of my most beloved non-titleist teams
Beat them without Butler the first time we played them and beat them by 11 with basically the same roster we have now the second time. I think we just match up well against them for some reason.
Illinois fans have Booed our Cats in the past tournaments. I will be pulling for a Texas rematch. We win this time!
