You can tells our boys were fired up when that line came out as -10. Absolutely comical. I hope most of the people on here lost money today.

Stein may or may not wound up being the right guy.

What we do know is Mitch Barnhart is to blame for every bit of this. He allowed the program to sink further and further the longer he allowed that worthless blob Stoops to stay.

We’re all anxious to win right away and unfortunately we have a first time head coach who’s schedule is death row.

I also think Stein needed to be humbled.. a lot. He is tonight for sure.

Well it’s gonna take a couple years it appears to get this right. I said all year more than 5 wins would be good against this schedule. I had hope, but this is reality right
Its what it always was. Same as hoops. It takes any coach a few years to build a program. There are no shortcuts, even in the NIL era. Sure, Indiana had an incredible turnaround, but that's an outlier, not the norm. I think Coach Stein is going to do well, but this year, with the holes we have, against this schedule.....a .500 record should make him National Coach of the year. 3-4 wins likely

This is silly. Stoops accomplished more than any coach we had at the school in half a century, yet the malcontents always blame him at every stop. Was Stoops perfect? No. But tell who did more than him at Kentucky in the last fifty years. Always have and always will defend Stoops.

But now — it’s Stein’s turn to keep the ball rolling. And this was not a good second half, but we looked every bit of a good team in the first half and let’s hope we are more of that going forward and less of whatever the 2nd half was.

Stoops deserves his flowers. Stein needs to be allowed the runway to grow. I called this weeks ago — the unrealistic fan expectations would cripple this program if not dealt with. We weren’t supposed to win this game. This is a brand new team against a top fifteen team.

So tiring to watch year after year though. I may never see us beat Bama at this rate.

It just sucks that this half will take away all of the excitement we had going into the season and the first half today. Worst case scenario in that regard.

Try not to overreact though, plenty of season left to make improvements. I still have high expectations for Stein here. It will take time though.

What is concerning is that you spend millions and seem to get the same results. We need to improve in many areas to win games with the schedule we have. Learn from this and move on ...

Most of us probably thought a blowout was going to happen but gave into the hype and hope that things were different.

But success doesn’t happen over night when we’ve been bad for so long. Don’t compare one team (Indiana) to the thousands of other examples of it taking years to get anywhere with a coach in football. Even with the transfer portal, we still need Stein to develop these guys over the years to become what we need to succeed.

We were leading until like 5 min in the 3rd. We gave up far too quick. Especially how well we did un the first half.

Thats on coaching
We didn’t play great in the first half at all. We were handed the second TD off of a really bad call. Alabama played so bad in the first half it appeared to me they were shaving points.
