Hutchins had already committed to Croom anyway. I don't know that we would have gotten Brauchle with Croom or not but there's a pretty good chance we would have. I really don't even know what the other options were that Brauchle was looking at. I'm really happy to get these guys and hopefully it turns around our lousy kicking game but let's not make it out like Mullen came in and brought these guys on all by himself. In fact, right now, I'm getting VERY concerned about whether Mullen is going to be able to hold onto McPhee. If anybody has looked at our DL for next year, it becomes very obvious that if we don't get that guy, we are likely hosed for next year on the defensive front.

If we are deep anywhere, it's DE, thanks to Croom signing boatload of them.

We have Charles Burns, Sean Ferguson, and then we have Trevor Stiggers, Nick Bell, and Shane McCardell that all RS, and finally we have Fletcher Cox coming in provided his commitment holds.

We're also going to be better at DT than people think- Kyle Love has started forever, but after him you LeMarcus Williams who has played a lot and Josh Jackson who played some as a true Fr. last year. We also have Reggie Odom who has played sparingly, so he probably sucks, but he's another body. We also have Devin Jones who we RS and then Josh Boyd is coming in.

I've noticed that several people have mentioned that Charles Burns was coming back. I thought Burns was a senior last year. What's the deal?

I know The Hebrew Howitzer might've gotten a career ending injury. However, I hope we could get Feld snapping, then maybe some Israeli exchange student to punt (rugby style of course).

Mullet recruits "super" players like Carlson

Mullen recruits all-17'n-americans.

Jesus, what a mindset to go for the good players, a concept we did not have for the last five years.

Aren't most of the guys you listed around 230 to 250? McPhee is 270 and seasoned at JUCO. Next year we will have only 3 players on DL with beef that being Love, Jackson and Odom. Of those 3, only Love has any significant playing time. Williams and Burns (if he is allowed to come back) are both around the 265 mark. But of all these guys, none are a real pass rushing threat like McPhee.

Nope Catholic. His dad was a hell of a running back and his uncle played for Tennessee.

I'm on a roll.

Seriously, I knew it was a kicker, but I didn't know which one.

For whatever reason, we don't seem to recruit the same players as much as we used to. So they're hard to keep up with.
