My thoughts I once had for #9 have changed. The last 2 games have been pretty depressing as I don't see any way we have a chance this year. The lack of shooting is a serious issue and it seems there is no chemistry so far. That could change of course as the season moves on. I can only hope that Lowe makes a huge difference and JQ plays and dominates. Otherwise, I'm not real hopeful for the season.

I agree to a large extent. I don’t know that Lowe coming back will make a huge difference or not, but I sure hope so. The team so far doesn’t pass the eye test in many areas. Lots of improvement needed.

Idk why anyone would arrogantly assume we are winning a national title before we played a game. We have 2 probably starters (1 definite) still out. It's a long season and the ncaa tourney comes down to a lot of luck. Look at FL last season for example. Enjoy the ride.

100% accurate. The problem is everyone seems to have their starting point guard and center. We don’t. And we can’t seem to keep a point guard healthy. That’s a cause for concern.
The last 2 games were disappointing. We showed that a point guard makes all the difderence. We were a totally different team when Aberdeen was in and Chandler excelled at the 2. Getting Lowe back will be huge.

I think he needs some more dynamic playmakers on the court with him. Shouldering the load at the PG position when there are two 1 dimensional players, Oweh and Noah in this case, doesn't do him favors.

You watch these early games to see if your team has the look and feel of being elite enough to make a Final-4 run. Based on the last 2 games, I'd venture to guess this team will lose somewhere around 10 games, and struggle on the road in conference play. The good news is we are missing Lowe and Quaintance. We can only judge what we currently see, however.
My point was that nothing about tonight's game should affect one's view of the team's ceiling.

Cause for concern is the injury bug. We avoid that and stay healthy this team will be a contender.
Just going by what I see on the court. I don't really see any real scorers or anyone who can carry this team on his back. So far it looks like a bunch of role players. The team definitely needs to work on offensive flow because they are just jacking up shots with no flow at all. Not seeing the team move the ball well enough to get great shots. This isn't a great passing team so far either.
We have 2 of the starters that are out and 2 more playing out of position. Everyone needs to calm down about this. When we get a true point guard and everyone goes back to their natural positions it’ll look significantly different much like the first and second half tonight.

No dude I'm just messing with you. I really won't judge his team until I see if we have a true starting point guard in a good backup point guard that play all season. I do believe we have turnovers like this. It does take a few games for a team to gel and get its identity.
Yes, we had 13 turnovers and that was mainly fumbling, but you do realize we had 21 assists right. We also had 49 points the second half all without our starting point guard.
the first half was as bad as a basketball team could look. and we looked bad the game before too. there is cause for concern, especially after we thought we were top 5 after Purdue.
