in the Houston Regional. We are matched up with the Rice regional.

I don't agree that we are a 3 seed. I think at this point we are a 2 seed with an opportunity to play our way into the hosting discussion if we win our next six games. I still don't think we would host but we would at least be on the hosting bubble. We also have the opportunity to play our way out of the 2 seed.

The non conference losses killed our RPI this year.

2 and a 3 are the same. Doesnt really matter. We win game 1 of our regional, we win the whole thing as ross goes game 2.

The difference is, if you're a #2, you get matched up against a weaker team for that 1st round game. If you're a #2, could potentially draw an automatic qualifier with an RPI in the 60s. If you're a #3, you could potentially draw a top 20 team.

I'm done trying to figure out who we match up well against. I feel like we can beat Virginia just as easily as we can lose to Mercer. If we can put 3-4 runs on the board, we will play any team in the country really tough. Of course, we can just as easily get shut out.

Being a 2 is very important. If the opposite 1 loses you can host

Regardless of if we are a 2 or 3, I'll gladly take a regional in Houston over one in Tallahassee or Charlottesville. Even playing in Lafayatte scares me because they can absolutely crush the ball. Think Samford vs. Chris Stratton two years ago.

I'm surprised they'd pick Houston and Rice to host.

They wouldn't. Unless both teams were very very deserving to host.

This site is not my "go to" site when it comes to college baseball, but it would be interesting if some of the other more reputable sites have that same opinion.

ETA: I just noticed that they had Kentucky hosting. No way this guy knows what he is talking about.

So you are saying they are all on juice?
