I never said Obama didn't mess that one up. I always said that if Reagan could award the soldiers blown up in the Berlin disco Purple Hearts, the ones Hassan killed and wounded should have, too.
I didn't claim you did. He messed up big time and the media went along with it. That was my major point.
I certainly don't want to upset you delicate sensibilities. Again, I recommend a safe space. Perhaps if you live near a college, they have one you can use.
The right is worried about Muslims killing Muslims to prove a point about biased news, but we rarely hear the stories of the innocents killed in our cities by stray bullets and random gun violence. Let alone the few thousand men and boys that kill each other for sport.
In January 2014 there was a black college student killed 1 mile from my house. He was walking home from the library. Two guys stopped him and wanted his shoes and phone. He ran. They shot and killed him. And nobody outside of family and friends gave a damn.
Why are Chicago killings not covered more. If the victims were white, I guarantee you they would be covered and the problem already solved. Where is the media in all this? Who are they protecting? It's not the black people they are protecting.
There seem to be plenty of concern for the hundreds of people killed in our cities. The lack of concern comes mostly by the Libs in charge of violent towns like Chicago et. al. Doesn't seem to be much concern from the gangs whose source of income is the trafficking of drugs and guns. I remember the student you mentioned being shot, so it must have gotten some coverage. I remember the theater, Sandy Hook, Columbine, and the Tower at UT. We have enough problems; why should we import more? Let's pause, take breath and try to get a grip on our policies in regards to who enters.
Or we could just cut our own heads off and call it a day.
So why isn't the national media covering the killings in Atlanta? We've got shi* loads of them, both black and white. Answer: they are covered by the local media or affiliates and many of these killings are not national news. Hence, I see them every day and if I lived in Chicago I'd see those every day, or in St. Louis or Detroit or.... You think Chicago's got a monopoly on murder?
The media is too busy covering radical Islam terrorist attacks. Try googling Chicago murders and you can read media articles about it until you go cross eyed.
The White House propaganda machine just keeps cranking it out, wow. The White House's attempt to discredit the media is never ending. This will not go well for the White House or this country and that's regrettable.
One could easily make the argument that to cover every terrorist attack around the world 24/7 just gives ISIL and their ilk the attention that they crave and you're only too happy to accommodate them. Radical Islamist terrorists have never received more attention nor enjoyed more notoriety than they're getting now and I'm sure that they're thankful. The White House should shut their whiny mouths about this stuff and just do their jobs.
I have said repeatedly I don't generally have a gripe against Trump's EO for those countries. My gripe what that he stopped people with valid visas from entering with no warning. I have no issue with additional vetting and strict controls from those 7 countries.
Then why was Treyvon Martin national news, for weeks on end. Why his trial national news. Why Michael Brown national news? Why Freddie Gray national news. Local news makes national news when the media decides it fits their narrative.

I've seen Bannon's comments about Muslims. If he has his way, not one more Muslim would ever enter the U.S. so this will be interesting to see how it all plays out.
