Will that guy EVER be a contributing pitcher for us? He was considered a stud in HS but seems to have been injury plagued since coming to State. Todd, anyone else, what's the story on him?

that's the same type of injury that ended Mark Prior's career. It takes a lot longer to recover from that and the chances of coming back from that type of injury are not as good as say, Tommy John surgery. And yes, he did arrive at MSU with the injury.
From what I understand, the coaches want him to pitch this year, but they are bringing him along very slowly. I want him to redshirt because I think if he takes the year off and gets healthy, I think he has a good chance of being a contributor the next two years.
