CC has done some good things today, especially driving to the hoop and shooting FTs, but she also has a few iffy TOs that turned into quick buckets.

When your 3 best players don't play well, it is tough to win.
Hasn't happened much at all this year, especially with CC and KM who have been so great as of late.
They've won 8 of their last 10...sometimes a game like this happens and not much you can do.
CC made a great move in the 3Q and then missed a layup she makes probably 85%+ of the time. Just one of those games.

The Mystics are a very good team with a good coach. They will only be one game behind the Fever after today.
We obviously want the Fever to get the 4 seed (difficult after today), but teams are so bunched up that this one loss puts the Fever only one game ahead of a 3-way tie for 6th-8th place. A couple of those teams behind the Fever have two easy games remaining, so if the Fever lose both games to the Lynx they could fall to 7th or even 8th seed.
I like Boston but I'd take either of Washington's bigs over her

I think it’s clear that in the bigger picture it’s not gonna matter much. It’s hard to see the Fever winning a best of 5 series with almost no interior presence offensively of defensively.
2 points from the bench. Fever need to overhaul their entire roster. Sadly, I don’t think management has a clue how to do it.
Thougt Boston looked good a week ago in the tournament but she had help. Fever have no help for her and she is out sized and out matched against the top half of the league unfortunately. So many second shots for opponents hurts.
Not sure if if SG is in the dog house or what. She got burnt a couple of times defensively and got very few minutes. Not sure how far the Fever will go anyway but her usuall defense is good and is an outside threat. Lot of outside controveresy pertaining to her-not sure if it has floated in to locker room or management. Hope not as personally I support what she has said.
Unfortunately, the Fever will not go far in the playoffs. They're very poor defensively and their rebounding is sub-par.
With 2 games left I think the Fever can still possibly get the 3rd seed in the playoffs or the 8th seed, Going to be a fun 4 days of basketball.

The Fever need a major overhaul. I would keep Mitch, CC and Timpson. Then find an excellent rear end chewing coach to motivate the team.

Sophie has basically played herself out of a new contract on the back half of the season. She’s pretty much gone into the crapper since the pointing incident went to her head. Thankfully she only signed a 1 year. First half of the season she was contributing enough where she should have been earning money like the next two players, but now she’s playing like a player that shouldn’t even get off the bench.
Lexi is pretty much useless this season. With an untradeable contract.
Billings is pretty much useless this season. With an untradeable contract.
Timpson is acceptable as a backup and continues to develop, but wouldn’t be starting on many other teams in the league.
Raven was an absolutely idiotic draft pick unless they are expecting CC to jump ship when her contract is up.
All in all I think Harris was the only offseason addition that is worth what she is being paid. MHA is close to that status also but has had wilder swings of success and non-contribution.
Add to that, Clark chewed out her bench last night when things weren’t going right. Most likely at the coaching staff for their stupid defensive strategy. “That's why we need to rotate so it’s not every one for themselves. F**k. "

I watched the Valkyries the other night. Even though they have much better individual defenders than the Fever, they help each other as if their lives depended on it. The Fever, with arguably zero lockdown defenders, do not rotate and help. This has been an issue since game-one this season. And yet, here we are 4 1/2 months later and SW and Briann January still can't put even an average help-defense on the floor. There isn't a player on the Fever roster that doesn't have the athletic ability to quickly rotate into a help position or to quickly close out on an open three point shooter. This is a massive coaching failure.
In addition, the front office has done a horrible job filling out the roster and managing the payroll. The Fever have 3 or 4 grossly over-paid players and the worst bench in the league.
As near as I can tell, the Fever have spent millions on a FO and coaching staff and the result is a bottom playoff spot and a game strategy of "let's hope Caitlin and Kelsey get hot."

That was a very uninspired loss yesterday. No one really seemed to care on defense. On offense, horrible outside shooting, and weak interior play. Seemed like a lot of standing around on both sides of the ball - the vibes seemed off. Hopefully, just a collective poor effort and they got it out of their systems.
How long is CC under contract? The Fever FO sucks balls. If she wants a championship,she needs a different team.

Boston, Billings, Cunningham, and Hull just punching the clock. That's a lot of money not producing.
Didn't see backdoor cuts and all of the fun stuff that makes the fever's offense so dangerous. As others have pointed out, defense was horrible with rotations and giving help. It was enough for Caitlin to have her outburst.
And - SW scrapped the CC/AB pick an roll action as soon as she took over. Nobody has offered a rational explanation for that.

Last night, Ben Daniel speculated it could have been Briann January that CC was yelling at.
I hate to say it, but I think if the good W players wanted to join Caitlin in FA, they would have already. Most of them just don't like her and don't want to play with her, it would appear. At least not in Indianapolis.
Last two regular season games are with Minny. One home and one away. If Indy drops these two, and the three teams below them, NY, Wash, Dallas, if they win their last two, would knock Indy down to the eighth seed. Then you'd have to play Minny in the first round. Good luck!
Yes because women would LOVE to play for that kind of coach. It’s amazing to me that people think White doesn’t know how to coach.

Her player goes to far corner, she stops short and is ready help w/ the post, but Russell, who is on the opposite block, never leaves the player she is guarding and allows the layup.
Russell is about as mobile as the basket stanchion.

It's also important to remember that Ben is borderline special needs when it comes to basketball.
The majority of Fever fans are dumb AF.You can pick and choose, but the Majority of Fever fans see the light.
