Ledford vs Salisbury: biggest game of the week, expect a great defensive showdown and a low scoring game. Hard to pick either way but I'll take Ledford by one score, either a TD or field goal. Ledford controls their own destiny. Salisbury has to win and hope Ledford beats OG to force a three way tie for conference champ.

OG vs WD: I like how the Dragons have improved this year, but OG is hitting on all cylinders and will win this one comfortably.

ND vs Lexington: ND has officially fallen out of the conference championship race. They still need to win out to make the playoffs. I don't think they will but they will win this week. Lexington defense is horrible judging from scores this year. Cunningham will get yards and maybe some points but probably can't win the game by himself.

CD vs ED: East got a much needed win this past Friday. I expect CD will win this one, but hey it's a rivalry. Central offense has bogged down against the conference elite after beating up on inferior opponents in the early season. This week they get back on track.

Tville vs South Rowan: the Dogs got a big win this past Friday to keep their playoff hopes alive and will roll right over SR by whatever score they want.

The only one I'm going to disagree with you on is the Salisbury - Ledford matchup. After seeing Salisbury Friday night, I think they beat Ledford.

Salisbury-Ledford: Both teams need a win to maintain the conference championship opportunity. Ledford can setup a conference championship fight out with OG by winning and does so in tight game 24-14.

OG-WD: OG rolls in this one 35-14. West is having a competitive year and likes to pound the football. OG is too strong and wins this one to stay unbeaten in CCC play.

ND-Lex: ND evens their record at 4-4 with this one to keep fighting for The 4-5 spot in the CCC. Lex has a good runner but that’s it. ND will run it up this week after losing a tough game to the Dogs.

CD-ED: Central wins this one. Central has to jam the TE on the LOS and run that double wing effectively. They still are good enough to get the Win.

Dogs-SR: Won’t be a let down and surprise win this time like 2017. The Dogs win big and score what they want as they continue to get better every week with shutdown defense and effective big play offense and special teams. Watch out for the Dogs in the coming weeks.

Ledford- This will be a very good game. I will definitely be attending this one. I’ve watched both teams play. Salisbury Defense stacks up to Ledford pounding offense. But, they will have to find away to keep Salisbury honest and complete a few passes. The box will be stacked for #2. I give the edge to Ledford because of their Defense and the lack of Salisbury Offense.

OG- West has no Defense for OG ground attack. But OG biggest weakness is pass defense. West may complete a few passes on them.

ND- Lexington is the worse it’s been in years. ND will be back on their high horse after this one. This game will be a chippy one.

CD- This would be like watching paint dry. A low scoring affair. Not because of stiff defenses, but both teams offenses draining the clock.

Oak Grove and Ledford JVs are undefeated.

Also it said Tyro Middle beat Oak Grove 8-6.

Listened to the ND broadcast, Lexington scored on a few long passes after getting down by a bunch. Speed continues to be NDs weakness. Watched Tabor beat Dudley 21-20 after being down 20-7. Make it three years in a row for the Spartans over the Dboyz.

Same here. I wouldn’t have thought the score would have been a little closer.. I had Ledford winning by a few.

Now, a couple of notes on the OG vs WD game... Things went south on the first play for West. Everyone in the whole stadium and perhaps even the people flipping the burgers in the concession stand knew that Oak Grove was getting ready to onside kick. Well, almost everyone. West somehow didn’t see it coming. You gotta be kidding me.

West has enough offensive firepower to win some games. The QB’s arm is very underutilized. The running back is a bowling ball.

Also, who was the announcer in the press box for West? Was it Josh Bush? His nicknames for the players were funny.

My take away from Salisbury/Ledford game.........Speed kills..........

Salisbury Defense is stiff. Ledford Offense is way to run heavy. The game didn’t live up to its hype. I left at the end of 3rd. OG defense isn’t as good as Salisbury, but I don’t think Ledford can beat OG.
