My Rita buddies and faithful, with Game 3 under your belts and a very necessary win, what did you like what you saw last night and what still concerns you?

Early thoughts on game vs Celtics? PC been pounding the ball down other teams defensive throats. Young, inexperienced group gaining big time confidence weekly. SR D line capable of stopping the Martus/Vaughn train ride running behind the Renfro and company wrecking crew?

I thought PC D would have been tested more last night but they really weren’t. PC D speed has been impressive in giving up only 2 TDs in 3 games. SR offense looked like they woke up finally. How do you see the SR O against PC D? PC secondary has still yet to be tested. I thought Vikings would have thrown the ball more last night.

I liked the effort and the energy in the second half (24-13).

I said at the beginning of the season that they have multiple skill players that can take it to the house. So I liked that last night, 23, 4, and 13 had TD runs over 50 yards.

I like that personnel is getting solidified, meaning right players are in right positions, and players winning that position, every early season game for HSFB teams expose stuff like that. You just wish you don’t end up 0-2 learning some things.

Concerns, plenty, but specifically still dropping passes receivers get their hands on. Two sure TDs were dropped on nice passes. And, since, they have a difficult path ahead of them, every (and I mean E-V-E-R-Y) off and def series has to have the urgency and effort of the second half of last nights game. Is that possible and sustainable? Up to them.

It will be a classic blue match up. PC clear favorites (seen both teams play) but at least it’s at Rita so, to quote the dumb and dumber movie, “so you say I have a chance”.

Good Luck to our Celtic friends in the Augustinian Super Bowl.

Note on DLS: 9 (QB) 3 (WR) 12 (WR,OLB) are studs. Coach Boehm runs a very solid program

Thanks Augustinian brother Rock Soup! Good luck to the Stangs. I still have nightmares from the last time we played at SR. OT loss. Recall, I try not to, Provi on goal line, take a knee and win. But no let’s try to cram it in with Warfield. Fumble...the rest was history.

That’s where my mind went to also, when wondering if the Mustangs have a chance against PC. Wish they weren’t in the position to need another Mustang Miracle again this coming weekend but the record is what it is. SR needing it, PC remembering what happened here last time, I think will lead to both teams laying it on the line each play which leads to an enjoyable game regardless of the outcome.

Rita D has to play much much better. Otherwise going to be PC 31 SR 21
Yes indeed. And PC frosh RB had a KO return for a TD v StL. SR K 15 got a lot of touch backs last night with the wind and against the wind. Big leg, so need that too going forward but if it doesn’t get to the end zone, need coverage team to handle PCs returners.

No doubt about it Tops, need big games from all 3 units

I do agree with RockSoup's assessment. For me, the talent is definitely there and Rita has very good Frosh-Soph teams. This year, I think Rita might be a little thin at the lines of scrimmages.

My Augustinian brothers from SR, what did you think of the game. SR did slow the PC running game which means they should have won. Is PC defense that good (will see this week against mighty BR) or is Rita offense that bad? 4 trips in red zone and 1 token TD with 14 seconds left. PC D has given up only 3 TDs in 4 games. Can’t imagine that continuing this Friday but hoping!
