There's a CFL game on ESPN right now and I recognize about every other player's name from just watching college football over the years.

I'll admit, I'm desperate for football right now... But it's entertaining. I could get into this every year around this time.

I watched a game for a little while the other night. Surprisingly enjoyed it. But all those guys in motion make me dizzy.

I actually kinda like the differences between CFL and American Football, it keeps things interesting. There are some pretty good players, too. Plus, it's football in July, so what difference does it make?

I never understood why the CFL never made more of an effort to get on American TV. With only 9 teams, that's 4 games per week. They could just extend Monday Night Football back a few months and show the other 3 games on ESPN2 each week.

I think it's a Canadian pride kind of thing.

ESPN showed a few games last year and with the new deal in place this year they will show I think 17 or 18 games including the Grey Cup. It's funs to watch, especially when there's only baseball on.

Watching Toronto at Saskatachewan. Funny thing is, until about 20 years ago the CFL was considered a legitimate alternative to the NFL. Many players went there when they thought they didn't get a fair shake in the NFL. Nowadays though, nobody really considers the CFL.

My Saints signed a guy from a Canadian college the other year and he's been worth it. The past year it seems like 3 or 4 players got picked from there. It's obviously growing.

But more and more Canadians are playing at American colleges. Hell, MSU has one of all colleges... Higher profile and all.

Still seems like a few players make their way from the CFL to NFL every year or so. Wake is an extreme case who went from UFA to CFL god to NFL's best at his position, but it wasn't really sustained. He's still a successful player, but just watching this game I think there are a few guys like him who could probably make an impact just based on the 3 games I've watched.

Crazy how the CFL hasn't made a point to be the USFL of modern times. Without the stigma we'd be watching a Bumphis BAAAAAAALLLLLLLL.

Masoli suuuuuuuucks.

The Las Vegas franchise almost moved to Jackson in 1995, but the deal fell through and the franchise folded.
