They may not exclude anyone per se. I agree with that. But they don’t “welcome” people of other faiths. Duh-If TCU wanted non Christians to attend perhaps they should consider changing their name? That is the difference. That’s my opinion. They are designed to serve a selection of the student population who belong to a particular religion. They have a bias. So therefore I choose to root against them. When I was applying to colleges many years ago, some colleges in the Ivy League had quotas of how many non Christians they would accept. Some colleges like Moravian College in Pa required all students to attend Christian religious class weekly. A lot of colleges were founded by religious organizations and there was a lot of carryover of discrimination in their admissions policies and culture. If you want to attend a religious school fine. Many offer high quality education. But I choose to root against these places because I don’t personally like schools who align themselves with religious affiliations. I was hoping Georgia would score 70 on them.
I don't consider myself a religious person. I have faith bit don't belong to any church at the moment. However. I do believe in 'live and let live'. We are all entitled to I've our lives how we see fit. Afterall, we can always 'turn the channel' if we don't like what's on tv....so to speak. You have a right to your bias.

Michigan beats TCU 9 times out of 10. It’s not like TCU blew them out. Michigan lost that game. TCU got lucky. They were exposed tonite.
You're giving this TCU football team absolutely no respect. For a small school with 10K students they do so much more with less. In 2011 a well coached but undersized TCU team beat a very talented 11-1 Wisconsin team in the Rose Bowl. In 2014 TCU again finished 11-1 and thoroughly dismantled a very good Ole Miss Team in the Peach Bowl! This year they beat a solid, and may I add undefeated Michigan team who arguably had the 2nd best offensive line in the country. Are you really suggesting that they would lose to Michigan 9 out of 10 times?

What you saw yesterday was a football program that made a decision a decade ago to become the new Alabama. That decision involved obscene amounts of money being poured into their program. If you look it up you will see that Georgia football program outspends TCU by a 3-1 margin on an annual basis.

Kirby Smart shared a little insight to the Dawgs success. He doesn't allow a sense of entitlement. He says entitlement is what's wrong with much of our society. He recruits good athletes that want to work hard. He instills work ethic for success. And he conducts full contact practices. He claims you cannot simulate gametime conditions otherwise. You certainly cannot argue with his methods.

I think that would be a pretty good game, especially I’d the Rose Bowl version of Sean Clifford showed up.
I was hoping to draw them in a bowl game. Tennessee is over hyped. Penn State plays like they did in the Rose Bowl, they beat Tennessee almost as easily as they did Utah.

Maybe. The difference in that game was Georgia's mental toughness.

I don't like OSU, but they were missing their top 3 RBs, top 2 WRs by the 4th quarter, and their top TE by halftime. The fact they were a FG away from winning is pretty good considering this UGA team dominated every good team they played. It was a last team with the ball has a chance to win game.

They had bigger, stronger and faster athletes on both sides of the ball, that was the difference. The game was over before it started.
I believe you are referring to the Championship game. This discussion is about the Ohio State game.

Kirby Smart, in his post game, said the toughest thing to combat as a coach is the sense of entitlement. He says he recruits kids who don't take anything for granted and are willing to work hard. Says if the kid is willing to "eat his dinner off the floor"...he'll be special.
Coach-speak to be lapped up by the media and fanboys. Georgia won because they are littered with NFL talent.

That being the case, David Hasselhoff would have killed it if he'd played football at UGA. He ate a cheeseburger off the floor. Dude is hardcore.

Very true. Kirby makes no bones about it that to win championships you simply recruit the best players. But I do believe the intangibles are relevant too.

You serious, Clark?

Dude, that's his schtick. Between this board and the old board, he probably has over 30,000 posts, and 29,500+ of them involve one of these things: Lattes/scones, jerking off, a sarcastic comment about folks hating various things related to PSU, or a sarcastic comment about people laughing at people/things that are better than them.

How do you not know this?
Bob has a schtick? I bet it is a little one!! Hope he gets some Nutragenix to help him out!! She’ll like it too!

Maybe, just maybe there are people to whom religion is an important part of their lives, and they want that in an academic environment too. For some reason, there doesn't seem to be a large market for Wiccan University, or Heathen Agnostic College. Rooting against a school's athletic teams simply because it is religion based is pretty shallow, no?

Do you also root against all-women schools because they don't accept dudes? And do you root against the HBC's because their white enrollment is low?

Sheesh.
There's a distinct difference, that's obvious ... but to point it out and further this discussion would involve religious folks' getting all worked up, so it's not worth the emotional outrage.

So you believe that Penn State can never compete at that level?
If you're asking doing what Georgia has done for the last two years and looks poised to continue for who knows how long, never. Simply winning a title on occasion is a major challenge.

I meant that one game that night…Georgia played about as good a game as I’ve ever seen a college team play and they’re not going to do that every game.

What about Ohio State in the semifinals? Isnt a 1 point game close?
Different night and Georgia didn’t play as well. With as well as Georgia played that night, they would have beaten OSU by three TD’s on that particular night.
