Very interesting poll. I went with the obvious Texas & Georgia. But then it gets tough. Florida finished strong last year & has a lot of starters back, but their schedule is brutal & their QB is injury prone with no real backup. Tennessee should be down. Mississippi lost a lot of starters. Not sold on A&M at all. Or LSU. I went with Bama as my 3rd SEC team even though I’m not sold on them either.

Florida is an interesting team. Lagway is good when healthy and supposedly they are good on both sides of the line. The schedule is brutal. If they go 10-2, they are good enough to win the whole thing.

I may regret saying this but Mizzou’s schedule is tailor made for them to sneak into the playoff. They do not play a single game away from home until October 18th. 8 home games total and of their 4 road games, 2 are Vandy and Arkansas.

If they can go 2-2 against Bama and A&M at home, and Auburn and Oklahoma on the road, and take care of business elsewhere, they’re in.

You could be right on this. Cupcake schedule & a lot of returning starters. But it’s Missouri.

The variance in SEC schedules is significant. Florida and Oklahoma are probably good but doomed by their SOS. Teams like Missouri, Ole Miss, and Tennessee are probably average but could realistically get to 10 wins because of their SOS.

For UT, yes a lot of auto wins but at Bama and at Florida, plus Georgia at home, is really tough. They’ll have to win at least one of those and I think they are inferior to each of those three teams.

Texas & UGA are the obvious picks. I like LSU this year. Kelly under a lot of pressure. Experienced QB. They need to have a year so they probably will.

Biggest prediction: For a third straight year, a non-SEC champion. Blood in the water for the Danny Kanell-type haters.
