CG beats CL Central 42-0 and PR beats Dundee Crown 62-0. Aside from playing each other, they have a combined score of 761-118 over 8 games. I'm not gonna say they have played tough competition but they are laying waste to the FVC and are on a collision course for an epic 6A semifinal.

Or, given the fact that they happen to be the two best teams in 6A (if they both go to this class in the post-season), the IPHSA may elect to send one of them to the southern bracket in hopes of setting up the two best teams in this class for the championship game.

That will never happen.

There is a strict set of guidelines for determining the playoff teams and seedlings. The IHSA doesn't waiver. They don't care about the two best teams in 1A through 6A.... they care about geographic representation.

Thanks for the info. What were some of the JCA faithful griping about last year regarding them not being sent to the southern group of 16 in 5A? If I remember correctly, they were arguing that a team in the southern group was actually farther north than them. Did this really matter, especially if the two schools were APPROXIMATELY the same location?

The difference here is that JCA and the other school were close to being south. PR and CG, if I'm not mistaken, are just a shade south of Canada.
