It's almost impossible to believe that a pitcher could put up such horrible stats for 3 years and then be a stud in his senior year. It's good to see a guy put in the hard work to make himself better and be rewarded for it in his senior year.

This is how we are developing. You can look at the stat lines on Stratton, Reed, etc as well....

What happens now that we are beginning to be able to actually recruit elite highschool talent again? That is where this is about to get really interesting...

I've said it before and I'll say it again...it's all about the drop of the arm slot. He's getting more movement out of all his pitches and has increased his velocity a tad as well.

Gold plate that sledgehammer with "You're a baller!!!!!" engraved on it and give it to him at a formal ceremony in the bullpen at Dudy Noble. Everyone wear robes. July 1st, eh?

Yeah. Even earlier in the season he was basically just a L vs L matchup guy. I think his arm slot change and him developing a better change to RH (probably related, I don't know) have opened things up for him. He's got to be averaging over 15/Ks per 9 the last quarter of the season and post season.
