It's not a coincident or throwing spaghetti, when everyone in the City points fingers at Hough, when it comes to illegal players or recruiting. It's not like people would be upset over their success or the numerous State Championships they've won.
this is not about Hough though. You are making it about them. This is about an ineligible player at another school. I chimed in to share how this could happen and what is being done by the AD to stop it. Someone brought up Hough. I shared what I was told from an AD about Hough to explain how the allegations and reporting works. The reason for doing so is not to defend a school or give an opinion on a school. Just to show that when things are reported they are investigated. And as we have seen when fire is found people are suspended and teams forfeit. As I have said I have full confidence that this AD will find the teams breaking the rules........whether knowingly or unkownlingly. As I have said that is the important thing. Or at least I thought it was.

Amazing! You hear everything, but recruiting and illegals at Hough. Lmao!
It is not hard to know that PD and other schools do not allow this. Kids who want to enroll in Dec have had to transfer out for a few years now. it is common knowledge. Where people live and how they fill out their paperwork is not. The two topics are completely different.

You made it about Hough when you consistently show up to defend them. You chimed in to share what everyone knows. It's also no secret of what Erica Turner is doing to combat it, as she consistently talks about it, and has repeated herself with CMS coaches and AD's on numerous occasions. Not new information about kids looking to attend PD, but being turned away because of early graduation, or not having the grades. You're preaching the choir.

No. You are correct, this is not about Hough but in order to deter away from the true conversation others will twist a couple words so you can fall into their narrative and away from the actual subject. That's all

You didnt fall for it LMAO

could not resist.....which crime are you referring to? Are you reporting a specific crime? seems to me you just spew off about programs you do not like and throw spaghetti at the wall to see if it sticks. like i said the new AD will find anyone who has ineligible players in cms. she has kind of proven that already......
How are you a coach and can't even capitalize the damn first letter of a sentence? You seem like a 16 year old punk defending the worst problem in the state, referring to recruiting......

i never defended anyone. In fact I said to let everything play out and expressed my full confidence in the powers that be to find people who were doing things the wrong way.

Sorry message board police. I will do better with my capitalization from now on. Once again point out where I defended any team in any of my posts? I merely posted the info that I had. And once again I will no longer do so. My info will stay with me.

I know for 100% fact that Hough recruits players - saw it happen to 2 of the kids (starters - 1 RB and 1 LB) that I coached my last season coaching (who have both since graduated). Text messages, DM's, phone calls, you name it - they showed them to me themselves.

I don't know who a lot of you are involved with in CMS or what sports or whatever - but if you are at Hough and you are coaching football...someone has you on some good stuff or is paying you really good money to keep your mouth shut.
I live in the Mallard Creek area. I know 2 athletes in my neighborhood that attend Hough. From where I stay, they are right near Mallard Creek, not too far from Chambers, and would have to pass North Meck to get to Hough. Hough is a well known secret.

They just don't have a lot of exceptional Athletes in the area. The parents at the feeder school Bailey road middle have been complaining for years, about their kids not having an opportunity to play because of the overwhelming amount of recruiting. They have to recruit to compete,

How many of Houghs starters/two deep were transfers to the school? Would venture to say 75-80%. The amount of talent that seems to just end up at Hough is incredible.

Jesiah Davis Providence Day
Kaci Segars Adrey Kell
Sean Brown Hopewell
Isaac Walker Page/Dudley

In all fairness those players may have been "coming home" as that is three private schools and a county wide magnet.

You the guru and respect your opinion a bunch. The transfers into Hough at such a high caliber of player is beyond alarming.
The kids from Fayetteville and numerous from SC were not coming home. I was tracking the new guys one year and stopped at 15. I couldn't keep up, so i just came to conclusion that the 3 African American players on JV were so excited about the program. They told their friends, and the number shot up to 35+ on Varsity.

Maybe having so many transfers is the reason they fold in the big games. You can’t just stack talent and think it will all work itself out.

Lol wow. Why have not got busted yet? Hand picking the best talent in two states is crazy. Have they even ever been good ?

They have a really good system. MONEY! A valid leasing agreement, 2 utility bills or a bank statement showing the address, is pretty much all you need. I guess they're clean and the text of them openly recruiting is just a myth. The 30+ coaches in the area are just hating on all their State Championships they've won. Like the Hough Soccer coach said. They didn't catch us, so we're good. :)

I agree but four of them were from non district schools so you do not know where they were districted for which may have been Hough but most likely not.

I would like to see the starting lineups for the Big 4 and Catholic with their home district school listed. I think you would see a swing of power if there was no private schools. That is obviously hypothetical as can be but interesting.

Man you got me on the floor rolling. Its odd how Bailey is mostly suburban, JV mostly suburban, but then the varsity is full black players. How that happen?

Agree wholeheartedly. If not for the privates AK and providence would be borderline unstoppable. Not sure where people the get the notion that suburban kids cant play football. They can and do. They just have other avenues of life paths and moms dont wan them getting hurt but they can play.

If there were no privates like the big 4..south Charlotte would need a couple more schools to accommodate all those kids, more than just Prov, AK, SM and MP. That part of the county is congested and very populated. You add 1-3 more high schools there and it evens out, although AK and providence might benefit.

Like Bigdadd said, suburban kids can definitely play. During Knotts run at Indy, Indy, butler, East meck, and providence were at times the 4 best teams in the state all in the same conference. Indy and East meck were more inner city schools by perception at that moment, butler was kind of suburban but had some good tough kids and was sort of diverse, and providence was and always has been very suburban with mostly upper middle class to wealthier families. All 4 schools were very tight in ball games with each other and had very different demographically built teams. Some of those schools have changed somewhat demographically, but not providence.

As for chambers, shame shame shame. Those rings are tainted in my opinion and those coaches know it. They have disappeared off social media now that the party got busted, and I don’t respect that. If you can win in front of a crowd, you should be able to respectfully lose in front of one also. Those were the loudest dudes on social media for a good 2-3 seasons. The young men that they coached should not look up to them when it comes to how they have responded to this situation, although I’m sure those coaches have love for the kids they coached and taught them many great things that they can apply to life beyond football.

Myers Park would be tough, also. Think a few of the Union schools would improve as would South Meck.

I still find most of this stuff just silly on both ends. Butler has a DE who has played at 3 different schools in 3 years. Presumably to " get that $$". Don't believe he has an offer. All those kids that left MC to play at Chambers last year. I don't recall a single one signing an offer.

That said, if Smothers played Tuba or sang in the choir not a single person would care where he chose to do it.

All the time spent on this stuff.. Doesn't CMS have larger issues to focus on?
