They have been spurts because POWER SHIFTED from Indy to WC to Butler to MC to Chamber every team had dominated the clt metro for period of time but then shifted eventually is my main point.

I only know about Chamber bc I am very good friend a lot of their coaches, players and I just tell it like HOW I see it - weather right or wrong , I guess saying I find it funny everyone.
Indy probably had the longest reign but fell off when Knotts left. Butler has been really good since they have opened but had 2009-2012 of championship football. They have been pretty good since with some good to great teams. Mallard Creek has been really good since they opened with championship football. They had a couple of down years but will bounce back. JC wasn’t that good until 2016. Butler and JC were rivals because they opened the same year. Butler usually owned JC until that playoff game. Up to that point that was the second time they beat Butler. It’s fascinating to see JC become a football power when traditionally they weren’t that good.

I agree I remember when Vance (Chambers) was middle of pack in the first go around in the I-Meck from 2009-2012. They gotten better over time.

Unfortunately for you, both teams in the video have done a 180 since then.. page is 24-31 since that season, Chambers is 61-11

Chambers has more wins than Page has had games
I can talk about Page's struggles after losing Gillespie and the rebuild happening now, but Chambers is looking more like 47-25.....

What site are you looking at?? Maxpreps has every season on there, from 2017-present I've counted twice. Take a look if you want yourself https://www.maxpreps.com/nc/charlotte/chambers-cougars/football/17-18/schedule/

They got last season wrong saying they had 3 losses, only 2 losses officially. Idk why they have a Gibbons forfeit on there at the beginning of the season

Edit: you must have changed the 14 games from last season to losses... I'm not doing all that

Those wins don't count as wins if they cheated to win them.. a forfeited loss is a loss is a loss

I was joking by the way, Page and Chambers don't really have a rivalry. Hence the 😜 😜 . Page should be back on that level of play soon. Maybe we can have a fun cookout before the game.

LOL. He finally made his account public again and thats what we get from an educator. SMH. Chambers is running off of Brand mojo and a great group of 2023 players. They will miss Hollywood big time this year just like they missed Grier last year. Karma is coming....
I had to do a double-take to see who actually posted the video. His account was private for the longest time during all of the illegal player stuff going on over there.

Cardinal Gibbons knocked them off last season, in the state title game.
I am no Chambers supporter by any means, but let's not pretend like the weather (monsoon) didn't have a huge effect on that game. If that game was played in better conditions, the result may have been different. Not to take away from CG's win, but there will always be a "what if" around this game for me, imo.

Chambers will be great because Littlejohn will be calling the plays!
What's funny to me is how all of these guys who are play-callers at these big name schools always get patted on the back for being so great at calling games. It's all about the Jimmies and Joes that they have at their disposal. This dude has never been to a school where you actually have to develop talent, it's all been right in front of him. Mallard Creek, South Pointe, Chambers...I mean come on, you can't get it handed to you on a silver platter much better than that.

Just look at OC's/DC's who end up at .500 or worse schools - the Independence DC comes to mind. Pitched all kinds of shutouts/low-scoring games at Chambers, but then moves to Indy and teams light up the scoreboard on them, all while playing a lot lesser-talented teams.

It's all relative to where the coaches coach.

I watched Chambers in a 7v7 the other day. That has to be the most annoying team I've ever seen. Guys make one catch and get up pointing at the DBs and talking trash. Waving like they're Tyreek Hill and holding the ball in 1 hand. It literally looked like a pick up back yard game.

Sorry to hear about your experience. Where was the 7v7 and who did they go up against?

what if the 21 CG spotted Chambers in the first game didn't happen. The second half looked alot like the championship. After the intimidation wore off CG didn't appear to be bothered. what if the CG QB doesn’t have one slip outnof his hands to 10 for Chambers, what if they dont have 9 men on the field for a long JC pass to set up their only offensive TD first half. i dont recall any long drives on that first game… what ifs. what if Rollesville wasn’t hit by the injiry bug in the ship…. could Wake County have won Spring/Fall championships…. folls never learn. roumd 3 this fall. i may play Antonio tarver asking roy for excuses before the game 😆😆😆😆

The moral of the story. Never use what If's when you take an L!

I agree. You can't play that game. CG and Chambers both played on the same field, in the same weather. Soooo..the result is what it is. I don't think for games like this the champion's name is listed with an asterisk. Nor should any gloss be taken off of Gibbons' championship. Those kids earned it, like players on every championship team.

Hough has had more Jimmy & Joes than anybody in the State, what have they accomplished? Nothing! . A guy like Little John, spent years developing kids in the weight room and working Wr’s at the Creek, behind. guys like Aaron Brand & Joe Cox.( currently at Alabama) 1st year OC at South Pointe ( wins big) Although talent plays a part. Success is not guaranteed. As a guy who tried his hand as an OC in Atlanta, over 20 years ago. Shiggady moves a lot slower while eating popcorn 🍿 and calling plays in the stands.

But they were both subject to the weather conditions. Honestly, I thought that Chambers would have had the upper hand with the better all around back and their ground attack. Gibbons had a more complete offensive game in the state championship. Gibbons actually scored on pass plays, which given the conditions, wasn't supposed to go down like that.
