The NBA is one extreme and soccer is another. I agree...basketball on most levels is most exciting at the end. However, how interesting would basketball be if a guy could stand in front of the goal, goal tend, and then not be touched once he rebounds or at any other point of the game (boxed out)? With that said though, there are not near as many shots at goal in soccer as other sports. Maybe the offside needs to be eliminated. That could lead to more shots at goal.
But anyway, I saw a couple of HS State tournament games and both ended in a scoreless match even with extra time. Both games were won on penalty shootouts. Which were extremely exciting. Which lead to a discussion among some people at the games.
But I disgress, because like I said, my experience with soccer is limited.
