Here is something to think about... Which would you prefer as a fan? Over let's say a ten year period... Would you prefer to win a state title and struggle to make playoffs year after year or have sustained success during those ten years, making the playoffs, deep runs and contending but never winning the state title?

Interesting question.....in this same thought....would you rather start for a 5-5ish team or be a bench warmer for a championship caliber team?

I like the question... Just like my question, I don't believe there is a right or wrong answer.

I'm always glad when a kid chooses a school where they can gain playing time early and often. As opposed to being a member of a team that they get mop up duty with two minutes to go in a game.

Like we have discussed many, many times. High school football is the end of the line for the vast majority of kids. The fortunate ones that get to play college ball are all but certain to never play another down after graduation. Why not get the maximum enjoyment out of your college career by playing as much as possible?

Ask almost any high school kid that played the game about their playing days, and be ready to talk for hours. This game we love so dearly, makes memories that last a lifetime.
