This was a hard hitting and hard fought game. JM did not want to lose their homecoming game and they played hard! The Chargers weren't having any of it though and while they had to work to overcome the Jackets D, they almost pulled off the shutout. The passing attack wasn't the big show of the night though. Effective? Yes. But the Chargers put some impressive numbers on the ground tonight. JM threw the ball some but only had two passes that produced a lot. Their QB met multiple Charger D linemen and took a couple nasty hits from them. He'll be sore in the morning. JM did manage one good drive that was assisted by two face mask calls to get a TD late in the game. They went to a wildcat offense and let #7 have it. Assisted by 30 yards of penalties, they got the TD. They tried the same set up their next possession until #7 limped off the field and that left them with no spark. The Chargers did give up a TD opportunity with a pick. All in all, a hard fought game but the Chargers looked relaxed and confident from the opening KO.
