I like Jaxson Robinson as a player (and I would dearly love for him to be playing now) but Collin Chandler is a way better athlete. Chandler is long, quick and springy, with explosive burst. As his ball skills continue to return/develop, the sky is the limit for him.

That's great.

Chandler is getting better and better as the season goes on.

I figure with the mission it was just going to take him a bit more time than others.

Fantastic news, Chandler has improved so much and just now is beginning to look very comfortable on the floor. Plus his outside shot is now starting to find the bottom of the bucket. Wanted him back next season very much and it appears more likely that might just happen. Let's hope that's the plan anyway.

I know there was some concern from a few posters that Chandler may want to move back to Utah with his now Fiance.

But according to this post she will be joining him at UK.

He was a highly rated recruit for a reason. From game 1 until now he has transformed and it shouldn’t have shocked anyone it was going to take a while after not competing for 2 years. Continuity is so big to build a sustainable program and compete year in year out. Noah Perry and Chandler are as close as we are going to get to watching basketball like we did growing up seeing them grow from year to year.

One thing that I'm excited about is how Pope maximizes his talent. Last year's BYU team was good, but had zero NBA players. They still won 23 games in a strong Big 12.

Same for this season and UK. We have zero 1st round picks, and yet Pope managed to squeeze 10 wins out of this beaten-down roster.

He's going to be a guy who consistently gets UK to 28 to 30 wins each season once he gets some serious player retention. Getting Chandler back was a huge part of that.

I thought Mormons celebrated the Sabbath on Saturday? Participation in, or even watching sports on the Sabbath is forbidden in many religious denominations. It is considered unholy to get that excited, and hateful in the case of some people, on the Sabbath.

I am a Christian myself, and I disagree. Sports are one of the few things uniting people instead of dividing right now. I'm more of a Bill Walton type when it comes to athletics. I see all of the beautiful aspects of it, to the extent that the actual winning and losing becomes almost secondary to me. The pain I will feel when we lose will be due to the fact that I will never get to see the particular group of great young men and women play again.

But HOW you played the Game.

I don’t think so, they never play on Sundays.
