Neither Chandler or Lowe were traditional UK level talents!

If Chandler played at UC, had his production from last season, and was rumored to come to UK, 95% of you would be LYAO🤣 and wondering what in actual h3ll Pope was thinking!

Dude is, was, and always will be, a mid level mid major spot up shooter.

Isn't Trilly Donovan Matt Norlander?

Also, I think he gets like 6/10 things right?

I could see Chandler going back to BYU next year.

I personally think Chandler is a key piece next year. He's not the main guy but he's a guy. He's basically a good roleplayer imo.
If Pope loses a guy that has potential to break out next year and he’s a Mormon that shows everyone all you need to know about his recruiting prowess. He would be a good piece to a great team especially like 6th man type role.

If Chandler and Moreno are the core and not complimentary pieces, we're in deep doodoo.
I agree, but we have to bring back a few guys that have potential. If we lose everyone that has been here a couple years that is scary considering where we are starting. He recruited multi-years guys to build something and then they all leave? The pieces didn’t fit, but a couple guys could be good pieces with the right team around them.

Chandler’s wife is moving back to Utah. That’s what all this is based off of.

Chandler and Kam should be a 7th/8th/9th man, if we are being realistic.

He isn't good enough to be a starter at this level, same with Kam. BUT, they can be valuable role players.

If they are okay with that vision, then do everything possible to bring them back!

Folks… time to wake up and realize that Mark Pope is a dead man walking. It’s inevitable. The assistants knew it. The players know it. I wouldn’t be shocked if we only return two or three guys. THE only reason why we’re still discussing this is because our AD is retiring in two months, doesn’t care, and is a moron. We’re not gonna have a good team next year. I will guarantee hands down we don’t make the NCAA tournament.

Kentucky basketball will be laid desolate for the next 365 days and there ain’t a damn thing any of us can do about it.
Nope,, nothing at all can be done.. Get ya some lexapro though,, not as good as valium or xanax but still good..

He's too wildly inconsistent and limited in too many ways to be a main guy right now. Could he take more of a leap, I think so. I'd love to see it.
I think that was mainly coaching issues. I’ve tried to say all year Oweh took a lot of shots the Chandler should have been taking especially when he was becoming one of the best shooters in the league. If you notice the better teams in this tournament they find the guy who hitting. They don’t take the ball away which is what Marks team did all year. Chandler his 3 3’s in a row? Didn’t see the ball for 7 minutes again because now it’s Oweh’s turn and he wasn’t going to defer. Chandler got frustrated a lot standing wide open in the corner. Chandler is on pace to be a very good player or better. People are blaming him for Pope coaching problems.

I thought Chandler might transfer and said so midway through. His coach didn’t force his looks and others will.

lol. Pope is consistent. Consistently mid.
I’m not really sure he’s mid. 12 year record is actually bad. I say he’s mid-bad, I mean to me a mid coach is say closer to a guy who’s been coaching 12 years with 3 sweet 16’s and a conference title. Pope is well below that. Hard to believe Kentucky has a coach knowingly taken on the mid-low tier, but we did.

Pretty sure he’s the next Danny Ainge/Richie Saunders hybrid because “that’s just how it works”

Losing Chandler would be huge. He's not complete and is still a work in progress, but I wouldn't doubt for a second that he's getting back channel feedback to play for Young at BYU. If Chandler can have someone work on his go-to moves and a mid range fade/float game, he'll be an all conference player for them before it is said and done.

I'm not sure what Pope and his staff worked on with Chandler this season, because he didn't improve his handle or his moves much at all. He's too athletic to simply be a set shooter.

The problem with your statement is we have no starters right now.

Plenty to criticize Pope over, but reading Trilly's post it doesn't seem like he has anything against playing for Pope. Just hard to beat the allure of going home sometimes. Especially if his fiancee/wife is leaning that way.
Would definitely suck to see him go regardless.

I've heard Chandler and his wife thinks horses are weird, strange beasts. He's not turned on by them like some of our other players and coaches are.

"key piece" and "good roleplayer" are NOT what most players want to hear.

If we have a mass exodus this year and Pope can't get tier 1 and tier 2 guys, can't land stokes, we may win 5 games next year if that. It will be super ugly. Its hard to see any positivity right now. The problem is I don't think Pope can recruit over Chandler, so he needs to stay.
Seeing things positively is a self manifestation thing at times. Constantly thinking doom and gloom can't be healthy.

Okay well the portal doesn’t even open for another 10 days so let’s maybe not get alll worked up and make bad roster decisions because we don’t feel that we have any starters on March 28th.
