and knowing a little about their franchise- you dont think that with the releasing of LT they wont be looking hard to draft a top RB in the late 1st round?

And should they do that, I think that eliminates a 2nd or 3rd round draft pick being used on a RB

But knowing my team, they probably will. I still don't think this has anything to do with his draft stock.

The Chargers would be better served taking a lineman. There aren't going to be any sure-things at the end of the 1st at RB, not this year. They would be better off waiting and taking the best available in the 2nd. That still doesn't mean it would be Dixon. There are a number of teams that could take him and I don't think this has much of an impact.

I still have a sneaking suspicion that LT might land in New Orleans. Him and Brees are boys. Brees will lobby hard for him, and since he practically owns the city now, they will listen to him. Depends on how much LT is asking, but at the very least he is still a very effective goal line back. Bell looked like garbage towards the end. Pierre Thomas' late season performance might keep this from happening, but I wouldn't rule it out Saints fans.
