The guy had 10 more tackles last night. That takes his total to 39 tackles in 4 games. Our strong safety may end the season with 100 tackles. I think he is the most underrated player in the SEC. He did get beat on a little out route last night that ended up being a 1st down, but the guy is solid. He may only get a couple of picks this year, but he is solid when it comes to tackling. Having someone in the secondary that is pretty good in coverage, and very good at stopping the run, is really big. The guy is going way under the radar, and his play deserves more attention.

Sure he got a lot of tackles, but he should've had even more. He missed at least three tackles that I remember when the QB scrambled on third down and got a first down out of it.

Murray destroyed him on that cutback move. I'm not too mad about the one's from Mitchell. Sure he missed a few, but that's going to happen. You can't make every tackle, and you are going to get beat occasionally. I think he did a good job last night for the most part.

that play was like a comedy of errors.

I don't know that it's a good thing that our SS is having to make that many tackles. I noticed that during the game, that if our SS was having to stop the run, it's not usually a good sign. I do think that part of it has to do with our aggressive defense.

....hard hitting! We were laying the wood last night. We hadn't been doing that all year.

And one hit certainly changed the flow of the game and maybe the outcome - the big hit that caused the fumble that was otherwise going to give UGA the ball inside our 5 after a big gainer.

i like the way our secondary plays.......mitchell, whitley, and smith are vicious hitters, and the corners are all a bit cocky/flashy - that is exactly the way you want it

Chris White is an assist tackler. He's great at running in and delivering a bomb to a runner that is already being tackled. And if you need a solo tackle, he's great at making one 8 yards down the field.

Not sure how anyone could knock Mitchell. For a stretch he was the only one making tackles and he was laying the wood at the LINE OF SCRIMMAGE.

...but on third and long, it should never happen. aGAIN, I say never. You are picking on White for one play. Mitchell did it on at least three different third and long plays last night.

Scott Field other than special teams. I thought that we were not going to have to worry about his many deficiencies on the defensive side of tha ball. What the hell is Lil' Manny thinking? When Ealy got lit up on the goal line, I saw the replay, and when I saw Toast in coverage I had a massive Fred Sanford!!! Next thing I remember is everyone standing over me saying, "it's ok Thick, it was just one play, he's out of the game now". Come on man!
