Charlotte Game Needed To Be Near The Start Of The Season

That is in my opinion. It sucks having this game so late in the season. With it being late November and a night game, this one was going to be a tough sell no matter what. Throw in potential rain to go with the cold weather and the team playing poorly, and who would blame people for not coming. Even if we had a good season going attendance would have been hurting for this one. I don't know why the SEC scheduled all these out of conference games so late in the year. Give teams an extra win earlier in the year when fans are more optimistic and the weather for the northern most schools is still nice out.

I WOULD NORMALLY AGREE BUT WITH THE TEAM STRUGGELING AND A NEW QB THIS IS JUST THE RIGHT TIME TO BE PLAYING A SO CALLED CUPCAKE.

UK needs Charlotte right NOW, something positive going into next Saturday. Good crowd or not.

I think UK was hoping this was the game that would at least seal the bowl game thus allowing the team to play free and confident against UofL. When the schedule was set, this was a good time for this game.

Yeah, I disagree OP. This game comes at the right time...we actually show up for once and blow out this crap team and we could get our starters some rest before UL and get some confidence going.

Let's hope it works out that way. Other SEC vs Have Nots are not going real well in 1st Half. UF-FAU 0-0 at the half and SCAR down 14-9 to The Citadel. Breathers are nice as long as your team shows up.

High winds and rain hitting us in Louisville right now. I am not sure how long it will last, but it probably will head toward Lexington. Going to ruin tailgating and if it is going on during the game, passing will be a disaster. Going to make this game look like crap.

Yeah...I'd rather this week be a bye week... stick this type of game between UT and UGA to stop the bleeding and a potential slide from getting out of hand...

having two weeks to recover from the SEC gauntlet and prepare for UL may be a better strategy...

I do wish the Charlotte game and Vandy were reversed. We knew we would be coming off a tough stretch and being able to get our feet back under us before Vandy would have been better. Even without the collapse, the stretch leading up to Vandy was going to be tough. Oh well, play what you've got.

Really? I think we are blessed to have this game where it is. Esp. To break in a new QB and rest up some dinged up players

I don't think UK had that much flexibility. They have to work around the SEC schedule makers. Half the SEC are playing OOC games today. The bye week came before the Thursday night game

I don't think UK should be playing a team like UNCC and a directional Ky school

If we're going to suck anyway --- why not take a **** at beating an indiana or a Wake Forest -- os SOMEONE from a major conference…….whooooo in the blue f'ing blazes wants to watch UK play UNCC??????

Hard to care about this game at all……..

of course a crap-tastic 5 - 6 game SKID in your drawers does not help the whole give a hump factor either.,,,,,

As many have said it was planned specifically for the exact reason we need it. In years past we would be going into our 8th or 9th straight SEC game and playing dead. This year we got a break in the middle and this gimme game.

This schedule was designed to get us to a bowl and I think it works as bad as we have looked.

I am just talking about for fan support it is horrible. Just look in the stands. The conference should have put all the out of conference games (except rivalry game) near the beginning of the season and we would have likely been at 5 wins 6 games ago. Maybe this year we could have been better motivated to win a 6th game after starting off 5-1 and that Auburn game may have went differently. Plus this game would have been a near sellout a month and a half ago. Probably going to lose hundreds of thousands of dollars this game.

I don't care, I want to win these last two and get to the bowl game, period.
